InstaREM no good for SG to MY ? I have done MY to SG and their rate is pretty good, and process to do the transfer was a breeze...

Yes MY - > SG OK. Issue is you need Instarem SG account for SG - > MY. They need you to be working/studying theere with address. I was denied opening account even with SG bank account.

That leaves transferwise and Cimb sg. Transferwise one account for all countries As long as you managed to open account you open account you can transfer money from and to any countryn

How much is the service charge using TW to send money from SG to MY ?

Send to which account ?

How much does the account deduct from the incoming funds please ?

Bro,... no need to comment too much abt people's things from the past-lar,... We never know who is right and who us wrong in many instances of life,..

0.6% for SG - > MY.
I used it to transfer USD to SGD and it arrive in few minutes and no extra charge. The amount I wrote for recipient is exactly the same amount I get.

With transferwise, the money never leave the country. They just do a local transfer to you from their local bank account. So no incoming charges.

OK la. Few dollars let them earn. As long cheaper than banks.

One you need to be priority customer which majority of the people are not. Second transfer using banks means you get less SGD per RM or less RM per SGD. Where the excess goes to? Right into the bank pocket. Sorry I don't like to give banks free money.

Instarem is fast to process?

Meanwhile I use CIMB SG to get instant credit to my CIMB MY. Rate is good too. 1-2 cents above other Banks par value.

Instarem for MY - > SG
As long as got proof of money when instarem ask for proof no issue.

I transfer like every 3-4monthly. But I only do MY - > SG. Never do SG - > SGD.

I don't perli you cause very strange all of us got no issue with transferwise but you had issue with them until they black list you.

I don't hate banks. I just don't like giving free money to banks. Where ever I can save by not giving free money to banks, I will take it. Banks are not family members.

LOL, there's quite some conversations since I was asleep, for CIMB sg, it is ikut the bank conversion rate right?
Guess CIMB will be hefty for larger amount, while transferwise's 0.6%, makes it worthy up to $2500, as more than that we have M2u sg flat rate of $15% dah

Cimb SG rate is not bad even though is bank rate.
Cimb MY have bad bank rate.

You are forgetting maybank markup the exchange rate + certain % fee (min SGD15). Now compare that with Cimb SG vs Transferwise rate. You can always checkout transferwise rate on their website. What you key in for recipient is what your recipient will get.

Does anyone know if there is any issue if the IC address is not the same mailing address when opening either maybank isavvy acc or cimb sg?
When i opened an acc with OCBC MY, they requested proof of address. Just wondering, if sg bank acc will have this issue.

You may attach an utility bill/bank statement with your name and the mailing address if different from IC

Their opening account all online. Keep in mind Cimb SG only can transfer money from SG to MY. The current cheap rates is a promo. Not a feature. Utilised it while promo is on going. With transferwise can accept money and transfer money to and from anywhere in the world.
