Most people are not aware that Malaysia, along with many other countries (SG included), has joined the AEOI (Automatic Exchange of Information) and implemented CRS (Common Reporting Standard).

Therefore, for Maybank iSAVvy account held by Malaysian residents, Maybank SG is required to report the account automatically to LHDN.

with regards to this, they did activate the account and sms after probably 3 days of follow up emails. maybe a bit slower cus i transferred from isavvy to fastsavers instead of from cimb malaysia to cimb sg.

Hi Sifu, I just submitted application for cimb SG fast account and received account number, but haven't transfer 1ksgd yet.. I tried to link the SG account from cimb MY to do transfer but can't find the SG account link option from cimb MY>service>link account.. Anyone can help to advise? Thanks.

Guys how to you transfer from your singapore account to malaysia? i tried instarem but need to register instarem singapore for this purpose.. and register instarem sg need sg address.

Hi guys, I just opened my cimb fastsaver account and about to fund the account. Looking through the comments in this forum, it's usually from cimb my to cimb sg. But did anyone tried funding using instarem and to fund minimum (eg. SGD 10) from own cimb account? Would it still recognize as our own fund transfer?

Transferwise most of the time expensive vs instarem. Is the only fintech I will use for bringing money back to Malaysia should there be a need. There is another fintech based in singapore which allows malaysians to open an account online. Have not tried them yet. But I know this fintech rates is the cheapest.

Cimb sg rates sometimes better than transferwise. Surprisingly. Forget about xe. We cannot use XE. XE is only for westerners.

Sure, but I highly doubt that a non-priority customer will be entertained. I mean OCBC not even help their priority clients if they are not super priority and willing to throw a lot of money in the garbage bin by accepting a terrible exchange rate.

At CIMB they need to post documents to Singapore (yes, POST, no electronic mail), make phonecalls to the Singapore branch and so on. If you not have a RM that is willing to do this, you surely have to go to Singapore. Or did you manage to make someone outside the priority center in Maybank do it for you?

By the way, because of the long snail mail process I decide to show up personally in Singapore also, anyway was in mood for a 2 day food trip without the family

After completing my application I immediately linked my MY account. Didn't have to wait. I applied last week. It seems in his screenshot he doesn't even have the link SG account option which should below the PRS option.

May I ask, what to do next after linking the SG account. I've successfully key in the IC at the SG account tab.

Is this step correct?

1. Wait for CIMB SG reply on the linking.

2. Once approved, transfer SGD1000 to SG account.

3. Then only apply for the CIMB Clicks SG??
