I lodged an report yesterday about a black stain/dust or something else on my m15x LCD screen, doesn't look like a deadpixel to me. called dell and they say its impossible to have dust inside the LCD because the assembling area is dust-free. (Really?)
Well anyway, sent them a picture as requested and now waiting for their reply. Hopefully they can resolve this asap :/

Docter..you think your technician can help with this?

Worst come to worst I think they will have to replace the whole glass..hope it's not a complicated process.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's neither dead/stuck pixel cuz its not in the LCD.
When I view it from another angle, the spot looks like its beneath the glass, cuz if its a deal pixel it will stay on the same position no matter what angle I look from.

erm sometimes you do have to look at certain angle.. I replaced my 6935g's LCD panel because of dead pixels after 1 year 4 months.. It was and still a samsung panel..

Hey guys I guess the GTX 4XX series will be hitting Alienware notebooks pretty soon since its being ported to mobile GPU series!
But I wonder how will it hold up against ATi cards?

i am using A08 right now..so far no problem..touchpad fixed and less throttling..

They've added some lower spec GTX 4xx to the list. I think the 460M above should get into the ALIENWARE system..... since ASUS is getting GTX 460M into theirs.

great reading here on Alienware forum.was thinking about getting an alienware m17x.with nvidia announce the gtx400m GPU.should I wait until they update the m17x with it?any release date from the "Insiders" at dell regarding the nvidia gpu with the m17x?

the word hold up against is quite subjective for me, because high end system is dual GPU capable.

so you can choose to have single or dual GPU, which make the comparison not quite fair.

i wonder where is the heck is GTX480M for M17x. but usually Alienware always smart in delivering sweet surprise for their fans

Haha... I feel you bro! I feel you. I'm waiting to jump back into the NVidia Bandwagon again.... but I'm Alienware Biased and I'm kinda rooting only for them... When will the Alienites get their GTX 480M????

The only issue now is Power Supply and Heating. Anyone here has tried using a M17x Power Brick with their M15x ? How to order one? Puto, Doc?
