hi guies
i need recommendation, my butget for a lappie is at about 3.5-4k, the main purpose is for work there are some core rules -good performance for everyday things -no need play games - doesnt crash often - reliable - macs are alright, im thinking of a 13' macbook pro too cheers |

screen size, weight and battery life expectation makes a bigger role for us to recommend you a laptop. no gaming = win. u can get btr battery life and less heat less weight out of it =D or even stretch to, like you said. MBP13 =D but seriously i would only consider MBP 15 and above as MBP 13 is using core 2 duo.

+1 for toshiba portage. or if you could top up abit to sony vaio S, fujitsu SH series. im not sure about the price tho.......but i do highly recommend you NOT to take those with high end GPU or just pick the laptop with the strongest GPU within your budget. as the higher the GPU is, the hotter it is, and shorter lifespan too. portege hits ur sweet spot i think. or acer timelineX 3820gt from singapore. other than that, dell latitude 13incher, sony, fujitsu 13 inchers. these are what you should be opting for as they provides more quality than horse power.
