Not all packages came with free modem. Some must be returned. At the moment I'm not even sure if mine needs to be returned. BTW, I heard the modem is wired to only work with Maxis SIM, has anyone hacked it?

Yes, I have unlocked mine 3 days ago. I was using it to try u mobile. And I did.
U can follow: http://a-zgsm.com/huawei.php

Oh I see, thanks Evoque. After all, Maxis sold us the modem, why not use it smile.gif

The code you enter (EMEI) will be the code for your new SIM (i.e. UMobile)? A one step process?

Apparently there is, but so far I have not been able to obtain it.

Every Maxis employee refuses to reveal information about it/denies its existence.

Tried to subscribe for company (corporate), also failed.

The modem is not SIM locked but you might want to update the dashboard to the generic Mobile Partner one.

hmm.. I am existing Maxis Postpaid customer, but am looking for a Wireless Broadband solution.

I have came across this website that stated RM48 for existing maxis postpaid customer, and RM10 rebate monthly for first 5 months, RM100 activation fee with free modem E1552.

http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/broadband/tss/index.asp

Can we upgrade the modem to E1762? How much do we need to pay for it? How's the coverage in USJ/Subang, Klang (Tmn Eng Ann) housing area ? smile.gif

i wonder why maxis only offer RM38 per mth to the exting postpaid customer
I am the exiting hotlink prepaid customer more than 8 years & WL BB 3 years mad.gif

RM48 per mth 1.5GB is still expensive compare with Digi 3GB RM33 (reduce RM5 if this is auto-debit)

mainly i use it as a backup for my business and only time period 8am to 7pm hmm.gif

3G router from Maxis or from PC shop?
edited.saw a few model like Aztech hw553 and dlink model.aztech one seem not as can connect to printer and WAN and LAN as well as backup link.

besides, after connect the USB to this 3g router, need to launch maxis program and clink connect manually like wat we did when using the usb directly?
are we able to setup the SSID and password for the wifi?
