3G router from Maxis or from PC shop?

edited.saw a few model like Aztech hw553 and dlink model.aztech one seem not as can connect to printer and WAN and LAN as well as backup link.
:i have tp-link, so far so good


besides,after connect the USB to this 3g router,need to launch maxis program and clink connect manually like wat we did when using the usb directly?

are we able to setup the SSID and password for the wifi?
:yes, follow the manual, very easy step, inside the router, already have the setting for digi/maxis/celcom bb

saw a few brand except linksys brand.will prefer linksys as worry other brand modem will freeze while BTing+surfing

update:
Just subscripted maxis broadband from lowyat today.according to them,this unlimited package they called it Data Package for ipad etc. if u said u want wireless broadband,there is no unlimited plan.
for me i dont see any different for their so called Data plan and wireless broadband.such a contradict.

besides,for the unlimited plan, there is no free usb modem, i have to buy that rm100 modem myself. anyone get it for free?

Yea I used to insert my simcard(unlimited data) into a 3g router to be used as wifi and shared by many laptops. But now I'm using my HTC HD2 as the router!

Hi,

I just bought maxis mobile broadband E1762. Its show HSPDA while connected but the speed is not stable.

I stay at 15th floor, does it affect my speed or stability? because when I go to nearby shop lot which distance is less than 500M, the speed is so so stable.....

Any idea?

plan to subsribe to a wireless broadband plan..but confuse wether should go for celcom or maxis...anyone has a review bout maxis performance at bukit jalil/sri petaling area???..how's the signal strength??..stable or not??..celcom is pretty good for 384kbps rm48/mth plan..quite fast using e1762 huawei modem..FYI my mother using celcom..if maxis can perform better,i may subscribe to maxis

They got a new Ipad data plan. Don't know if the unlimited data plan still available? *Sigh*

I am goin 2 subscribe 4 maxis broadband (RM25/week) and i know that the quota will be 2GB, mind if i ask, what will happen if i exceed 2GB, will the credit b deducted o juz the speed will be capped?

i just reigstered maxis BB (3Gb) package..
if i exceed d limit, what will happen?

guys,1 question here,if my fren and I surf the net at the same time at the same place,1 is using E1762 connecting to HSPA and another one is using E1552 connecting to HSDPA,is the speed the same?

might be the same. other then that it depends on the modem support (means the max speed it can go)

how do i terminate my bb? do i call the 1800 number or go to a center?

any1 tested with maxis broadband on North-south highway?

Having some weird problem with my MBB, everytime my connection will disconnect by itself meaning the HSPDA signal suddenly disappear when im using it. Not like my area has very bad HSPDA signal coz im getting full bar. Anyone know what's the problem?
