It will be better if to subscribe multisim 1 line and cut the simnrather than using microsim.
Added on May 19, 2010, 2:57 pmFor those using 3G, pls beware of video streaming freeze. It is common hardware problem. If you have such problem, pls share. Mine freeze during air video. Hahahahah This post has been edited by ASAP: May 19 2010, 02:57 PM |

QUOTE(tarvalslain87 @ May 19 2010, 02:44 PM) I dont think its suitable to bundle the microsim and iPad together... I mean its not a phone, its some sort of a netbook/laptop... So it will only be sold at apple store/resellers as other macbooks etc.. If this is the case, why not other telcos like Celcom and Digi don't offer micro-sim too? |

Cut the sim. It is easier to cut. Now I am using 2 devices on sim, MacBook Pro and iPad, and iPhone. For me, it is better to bring less devices than carry more.

Image of the microsim is back online, but re-edited in lieu of the sensitive nature of the pic: serial number in the card traceable back to my bro. Will edit it back later once I get back home.
Added on May 19, 2010, 3:45 pmRunning on iPad 3G now using microsim. Gonna test the coverage, heading to The Gardens and around Bangsar before heading to LYP and back here in KLCC. This post has been edited by stringfellow: May 19 2010, 09:50 PM |

I m thinking to do that also while only this u can used the iPhone and iPad. At the moment I m using a separate account of mobile board band (micro sim) that only can used in iPad. Hahahahah As what u said subscribe one multisim 1 line and cut the simrather than using smicrosim. Now I am going to do that....i mean do as what u said here. Thanks |

I really wish the iPad 3G didn't have that gap in the frame. Might be silly to some, but aesthetics really drives my purchase decisions. That being said, really happy with my wifi model.
So far, after two weeks of usage, patterns are emerging. I use it mainly at home, bring it out once in a while, in my favourite wifi hotspots. Its quite ideal really, cos the iPad isn't really my "in the spur of the moment" kind of device. If I need to check something quickly, my iPhone is always in my pocket. I am even reconsidering purchasing mifi for now, as my pattern of usage seems to indicate that the wifi only is perfectly fine for me. This of course applies to me, based on my usage, and might be totally different for others. By the way, last Saturday, plonked the most ever for an app (USD32.99!!!) F1 Timing app. I have to say though, after following the Monaco race on it, I love this app! There's something mesmerising about following the cars on a map in real time (almost). Wish the price was much much lower, but I recommend this app for F1 lovers. |

QUOTE(rx330 @ May 19 2010, 03:59 PM) I've grown to love Waterfield bags now. Their Muzetto line is phenomenal and sold out till late June. Confirmed the Maxis microsim works on the iPad. You can shop in SG with that peace of mind now. |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ May 19 2010, 01:42 PM) The Eco-Vue looks milky in comparison to the Nude. The reason why the Nude ultra-clear is the most popular color compared to the rest is because you can clearly see the Apple insignia at the back of the iPad. Eco-Vue just makes it like you're looking through a dirty glass. All IMO of course. looking for a book-ish case. since it's portable, id rather not let everyone know it's an ipad from the outside. better be safe than sorry these days. besides, it looks like it can provide lots of protection in my bag what with my stray keys and coins. QUOTE(little ice @ May 19 2010, 01:48 PM) ilounge gave it a better rating saying the material is better than apple's. besides, apple's case is sold out everywhere. |
