Just to share my findings with fellow iPad users here who are wondering if there is a 3Gb cap on Maxis's Microsim Enhance Data Unlimited package for iPad - the answer is NO.

I just pushed 3.2Gb data and my download speed remains on an average of 1.5Mbps. On good days, I can get 3.3Mbps. Yes, there is an unlimited package for RM99. No, don't believe if Maxis personnels say otherwise. smile.gif

@alfredtwl: Singapore there is no physical apple store but only resellers. You can buy them via Challenger or Epicenter. But I suggest you email them and check for stocks. You can also purchase via online store which is roughly 7-10 business days. smile.gif

For those asking about singapore iPad/accessories. I tried to order the camera kit and the order went through already with an invoice sent to my email this morning. I am using Amex and sent to my SG address. laugh.gif SG website wrote 3 weeks for iPad camera kit shipping. But mine shipped today and is reaching my house on monday tongue.gif Apple's so called "3weeks".

If you read the conditions in the use of credit card at the spore omline store, it is clearly stated that the delivery addresss must be same as the credit card address. This is part of a security control

It’s not exactly official, but should also surprise no one: According to a new study the psychological profile of iPad owners can be summed up as “selfish elites” while have-not critics are “independent geeks.”

Of course the “haves” would probably call the “have nots” “cheap wannabes” to which the “have nots” would retort: “FANBOI!!”

Consumer research firm MyType conducted the study, in which opinions of 20,000 people were analyzed between March and May. The firm’s conclusion was that iPad owners tend to be wealthy, sophisticated, highly educated and disproportionately interested in business and finance, while they scored terribly in the areas of altruism and kindness. In other words, “selfish elites.”

They are six times more likely to be “wealthy, well-educated, power-hungry, over-achieving, sophisticated, unkind and non-altruistic 30-50 year olds,” MyType’s Tim Koelkebeck told Wired.com.

96 percent those most likely to criticize the iPad, on the other hand, don’t even own one, although as geeks, they were slightly more likely to do so than the average population — and far more likely to have an opinion about the device one way or the other (updated). This group tends to be “self-directed young people who look down on conformity and are interested in videogames, computers, electronics, science and the internet,” said Koelkebeck

What do you use to apps read news/info/rss etc on your ipad ?
anything good to share ?

for me i use these ...

Reuters News Pro ( nice app as it saves alot of stuff for offline reading it has a picture section - meaning u see a alot of pics then u choose it and it will show u the related news )

npr - has good selection of topics in 3 categories (news, arts & life and music) to customize in with a commentary / previews audio to listen to.

News wall - an app to get all my rss feeds and display them nicely (a wall of pics +headlines )

Based on owners feedback on hardwarezone.sg forums, both firmwares 3.2 and 3.2.1 are reported in the new sales. So depend on your luck which firmware you might get
