QUOTE(xaw5126 @ Jun 22 2010, 11:18 AM) reported for not reading the pinned threads. ... nah, just kidding... AFAIK, the iPad warranty is (like iPhone) local only. so you will need to return the country of original purchase. the staff at london's apple store told me i can send the ipad for warranty claims in any of the country that is currently selling the ipad. Or in other words it has international warranty. but dont take my words just because someone working in the apple store told me so

Yeah I know it's for prepaid. Which is awesome coz I only need to pay when I use it. And 90% of the time I'm at home using wifi. The only problem is to cut it. I'm scared I cut it wrong lol

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Jul 24 2010, 11:28 AM) I have the micro sim cutter. Looks like a stapler, but instead of staples, you put in a normal sized sim, punch it, and out pops a microsim. If you guys are having an iPad Gathering soon, I can bring it along and cut micro sims for anyone..... wow that's cool. How much u bought it for ? And where can i get it ? If it's too expensive i think i'll just cut it with a scissors lol

OT:
the only thing that sucks with prepaid is the validity of ur credits. If only it does not expire forever (or for a very long time), then that would be super awesome

QUOTE(icedlink @ Jul 29 2010, 08:39 PM) What do you use to apps read news/info/rss etc on your ipad ? anything good to share ? for me i use these ... Reuters News Pro ( nice app as it saves alot of stuff for offline reading it has a picture section - meaning u see a alot of pics then u choose it and it will show u the related news ) npr - has good selection of topics in 3 categories (news, arts & life and music) to customize in with a commentary / previews audio to listen to. News wall - an app to get all my rss feeds and display them nicely (a wall of pics +headlines ) i have eurosports, reuters, bbc news, abc news, ny times, and flipboard for news. abc news has this cool sphere to show thumbnails of its news i had npr before but deleted it coz the app is not cool enough for me haha

QUOTE(benny888 @ Aug 1 2010, 08:57 PM) Just reload at any mobile dealer who sells topup cards. They will do it foc. but how do u reload ? I mean, the ipad cant send sms or dial right ? Or it can ? I dont want to have to transfer sim card to a phone back n forth just to reload Added on August 1, 2010, 9:07 pmeh wait i misunderstood ur post. U mean they'll reload our number for us ? That's cool But then topup cards minimum is RM10, 30, etc. I would prefer to reload any amount i want This post has been edited by munky: Aug 1 2010, 09:32 PM

QUOTE(MattJ @ Aug 4 2010, 05:19 PM) Wanna know, which telco is better in terms of rates, speed , coverage for broadband unlimited 3G for your ipad Digi = RM58 monthly Celcom = RM48 monthly (384mbps) Maxis = ???? I wanna merge my celcom voice/bis/3G plan with above new broadband so that it is covered under my corporate package but not possible. Need new account, Dang. Or another option is to go prepaid either Digi (Rm2 daily) or Celcom($ not sure how much), not sure about speed for this. For all you ipad 3G users out there, pls share2 your experience. Thanks if u rarely use ur ipad with 3g connection, i suggest u take digi prepaid i chose prepaid coz most of the time i use my ipad at home using wifi the only cons is the balance of ur credit can expire
