Depends on what they meant by "not much use to you". Everyone has different needs and wants and everyone has a different reason for getting an iPad. Believe if you are able to fit the iPad into your lifestyle rather than the other way around, then it is a just purchase

Buying from UK will probably add a bit more to the cost but hey never say no to free shipping I guess

A lot of people seems to think an iPad can fits their lifestyle... that's the problem.
They tend to "force" fit iPad into their lifestyle.... Just to justify the purchase. BIG problem...
It should be the other way around... Think about the things that you do daily ... can it be replace by an iPad? A lot of apps need to be purchase to make it complete... Otherwise people will get stuck with the "default" apps and later they complain, iPad can't do want they want.

Agree with you totally

My statement meant that you should see whether the iPad can complement the things you do on a daily basis.
Hey thanks you guys. I totally agree with you. When i buy anything i always think of what i can do with it too. I NEVER force a purchase or buy something just for the fun of having it.
Any student user iPad around there. Usually what do u guys mainly do on a daily basis?
One of my points of getting it is for travel. Since i travel to classes everyday by train and also catching flight back to msia and to. BTW, i'm studying in moscow. I already own an iPhone since the 2G era and i feel iPad can serve more as an entertainment object more than my iPhone..am i wrong?
Added on June 9, 2010, 12:33 pmOh and i would like to ask..i tried browsing the itunes store but don't seem to have any luck. Do iBooks have like study related books?
I'm a medical student so another reason is reading without carrying such heavy books.
