Hiya again!
So, can I assume that Adidas has mixed up the tag during their final tagging? I'm not really that concerned as I know my shirt is original, and from kitbag.
*
Could be. This is a rare case so I am not sure why it happened. But it's from kitbag so the authenticity should be legit

Brendan,

Yes, it seems that the glitch was already fixed. I manage to get the correct express shipping price which is £12.85 (not £11.85 because I bought the complete kit set: shirt + shorts + socks).

Thanks again mate for raising this issue to them.

phew... was seconds away from confirming with standard delivery. Good thing i decide to check in to see if there's any update from jerseyman.
And with a 15% offer, this is a steal.

Actually if you ordered with standard delivery, you can still cancel it. Because if payment has not been taken from credit/debit card yet, can still cancel.

just passed by a shop called Footaction in Ipoh Parade selling EPL NN. They have the heat press service as well. Just bought a Liverpool Jersey with Gerrard NN from there.

RM6/letter, RM35/number, RM49/pair sleeve patch. If you around Ipoh, you can check it out. They have a lot of JC too.

Haha.. I remember this store. Previously they had a branch in Yik Foong along side a very retro store (called 'Total/Metro Sport' or something like that..can't remember. The store is located at the front entrance of the escalator (at first floor). I remember this store fondly since this store brought in some authentic kits back in the 90s (when they were still RM169.90 per shirt).

These two were strong competitors. The owners of that 'Total/Metro Sport' later opened an adidas boutique store at Ipoh Parade. Dunno if it's still there now. But Footaction too brought some authentic kits back then. And back then, if you want NNs printed on the jersey, they had to post it to KL, do the printing and receive them back. Dunno to which shop they posted but maybe Al-Ikhsan perhaps?

Prices are exactly the same like at al-ikhsan/real one. They might have the same suppliers..

Hope that someone staying at Ipoh (I miss Ipoh a lot) can do a review on the store and take some photos if allowed.

Nice isn't it. People might complain that it's ugly or plain. But I love it. Especially since it has collars and the last time United's home kit had collars was... the treble kit.

The jersey is not 100% plain, if you look at the back.. there is this mesh holes that has the thunder pattern right?

Can't wait for mine to arrive.. Ordered one set and will do a review on the jersey later.

Aha... I was correct..

Hehe.. And I welcome back the 'ketupat' or 'brick layered' material on the home jersey. Other than the 2006-2007 home kit, previous home jerseys never used this material. I like this material because it is more robust and less likely to have pulls and bobbles (chances are lower). Besides the inner layer has pimples that helps the jersey avoid clinging to your skin.

Yup, even the sleeves. Only the back material.

Now I hope the keeper kit is as good as the home kit.

To be safe.. wait for the start of the EPL season.. when the players actually wear it. Then you can apply the namesets.

But yes, I think it should be black.

Kak Zaitun from Real One store in BB Plaza smsed me and informed that the new Man United home jersey will be sold tomorrow...

QUOTE(pyroboy1911 @ Jul 14 2010, 08:15 PM)
i do not dare to say SiD is wrong or not, but with the right stripe already on the front part of the sleeve, putting the patch on the left side of it will place the patch even more towards the front part of the sleeve. that's just my point la, as illustrated from the pic i posted. as you can see, nearly 95% of the patch will be on the front. if the reasoning behind it is to avoid the crown to be overlapping the stripe, then putting it on the RIGHT side of the stripe seems more logical, as illustrated in your edited pic.

At the end of the day, depends on you guys where u wanna apply it la. To reply Nimrod's question, yes i have applied my patch, and i aligned mine to the center of the sleeve. i wouldnt want my patch to be roughly centered on the right sleeve, and much more frontal on the left sleeve. Maybe Albert Morgan will follow SiD's recommendation, i dunno. same case with the semi-D curve at the back of the shirt la. If you wanna follow players', then u will need to apply the name quite high. But for practical reasons, we usually apply it below the curve.

Maybe those of you who have the shirt and patches, but havent apply, try to tape them according to the guide, and wear it and see?  hmm.gif
*
I think the issue here is with the lion's crown in the EPL patch. If the patch is applied at the middle of the white stripe, the crown might not stick properly since the PU stripe itself prevents it from sticking.

It happened for chelsea's and liverpool's adidas kits during the 07-08 season. Best bet is to wait for the start of the season to apply the patch

nvm la Jerseyman, maybe when u receive ur shirt, then u can have a better understanding of what i am trying to say.

PS: middle of the stripe is still not center, it is in fact in the front part. the "middle line" is in fact behind the stripes if u are looking at the shirt from front.
*
Haha. I totally understand brendan. The stripe is a bit front from the ironed seam that is located at the middle of the sleeves.

Adidas kits (the 3 stripes) are made the same way as well. Not placed 100% in the middle of the sleeves (via the ironed seam). We normally judge the placement of the patches based on this ironed seam (as what is shown in the guide I wrote on how to apply the nns and patches).

But to me, the patch looks nicer if placed at the middle of the PU stripe.. but again, it will not be located at the middle of the sleeves if placement is based on the PU stripe.

Adidas cutting is slightly bigger than nike. Slightly. Around 0.5%

If you wear M size for adidas, wear M also for nike. And vice versa.

Hi all,

I'm a newbie in jersey. Not really a jersey collector. but I do occasionally buy some jersey... lately, the interest comes back because of world cup...

Just wants to show my jersey collection. Not much though.. and most of it are off season. very old jerseys

To start things off, my favourite Italy jersey from Kappa. Euro 2000 version. Bought at Al-ikhsan last time during my study years at KL. Wear it since 2000. But after i discover a thread coming off the lower side, I stop wearing it. Afraid will cause more damage to the shirt... does any sifus here knows how to solve this problem (refer to the last pics of attachment)?
*
Hi.

You can still wear that jersey, even though there is a small pull on the stitching. It will not ruin the jersey, trust me.

To fix it is a bit tricky. You have to stretch the sides of the stitching so the thread goes back in. If it snaps, the whole stitching will not go off. Don't worry mate. Or you can just leave it as it is.. just ignore it.

How To DIY Remove the 'MUFC' At Your Man United 2007-2008 Home & Away Jersey's Back Stripe

Ok guys.. for those who might not know.. for the Man United 2007-2009 home and 2007-2008 away jersey, in the domestic matches (EPL, FA Cup, League Cup, Charity Shield), the jersey's white/red stripe behind the jersey (for the player issue or match worn jersey) doesn't have the 'MUFC' wordings:

user posted image
The player issue jersey for the 2007-2009 home & 2007-2008 away has no 'MUFC' wordings at the back stripe

For all replica versions and player issue jersey for UEFA Champions League, the 'MUFC' wordings do exists.

If you are like me.. I would love to 'DIY' and make my own replica jersey look as close as possible to what the players wear. So I would love to have the white stripe behind my 2007-2009 home jersey to have no 'MUFC' wordings on the white stripe. Then I can apply the EPL nameset on the back and make it look as close as possible to what the players actually wear on the pitch during EPL matches..

So if you want to do so, here's the steps:

1. This will be the victim to jerseyman's DIY today:

user posted image

As you can see from the photo. On the back white stripe there is the 'MUFC' wordings

2. Next is to use the Dylon Stain Remover to peel off the top of the white stripe. As from my previous guide (how to remove namesets/patches) you can find the Dylon Stain Remover at local stores such as Tesco or Carrefour:

user posted image
Dylon Stain Remover

user posted image
Sold at Tesco for RM10.70 per bottle

Put some Dylon Stain Remover liquid beneath the area where the MUFC is printed on the white stripe:

user posted image

3. Leave the liquid to settle for few minutes. Then try to peel off the white stripe carefully:

user posted image

user posted image

4. Once you've peeled off part of the white stripe (where the MUFC is printed), use a triangular ruler (set square) and draw a 90 degrees line beneath the 'MUFC' as a guide for you to cut it off later:

user posted image

user posted image

5. Then carefully cut off the white stripe to remove the area where the MUFC wordings exists. Be careful when doing so:

user posted image

to be continued...

Continued..

6. Next step is to wash your jersey and remove any remaining Dylon Stain Remover liquid on your jersey. Then spin dry the jersey. Once dried, flip your jersey inside out (terbalikkan) and then iron press (gently) beneath the area where you previously cut the white stripe:

user posted image

This step is to seal back any remaining area of the white stripe that was left exposed and needs to be sealed back to the jersey's surface.

Don't worry, the Dylon's liquid helps to peel off the white stripe but doesn't totally remove all the glue beneath it.

Here's the final results:

And I did it also for my 2007-2008 Man United away jersey:

hi there..just wanna ask whats the diff between buying frm AlI & kitbag..cuz the price is almost similer..i bought liverpool home jersey with no 9 & my name Dan for about rm293 last year..size XXL
so i'm planning to get liverpool's away for this year which is featuring white with stripes..so if i buy from AlI its made in thailand if i get frm kitbag izzit made in uk ? anyone can clarify this for me ?
btw for the manU epl patch its confirmed on kitbag that they will stitch it right in the middle of the strip..

Adding to what Steven (chcher) said, there is no difference if you buy from UK or local in terms of where the jersey is made. It is the same, if it's Made in Thailand or China here, the same jersey sold at UK will be also the same.
