You can try to make those 2 orders separately by order date as well. Just to be safe.

QUOTE(aaronwu @ Jun 5 2010, 01:55 AM)
Another question guys, whats the difference between kid sized jerseys and adult sizes? cuz many ppl seem to be saving a couple of euros getting huge kids sized jerseys instead of adult sizes. Is it the same? And what is XL kids sized jerseys equivalent to?
*
One huge difference is the sizing of the club crest + front sponsors + shirt manufacturer logo. The kid size jerseys has smaller club crest + front sponsors + shirt manufacturer logo compared to the adult size jersey. Another difference is the price. Kids size jersey is cheaper.

XL kids size is the equivalent of adult S size.

so if u buy adults S, can be cheaper abit than selling price.

That is if you buy the jerseys abroad via online or by visiting the foregin jerseys in UK.

thought the plastic cover not good for PU NN's?
*
Yes it is not good, but you can rectify it by sticking oil paper inside the plastic cover (where the PU nameset/sponsor sits)

QUOTE(cavynz @ Jun 5 2010, 01:05 PM)
Guys, i was checking out Kitbag's website page. When i clicked on England jesery to place order..There was a column with "Personalise Your Kit "...it display...squad list, name and no. Then below that, they have a small box for u to click marked  with " SMALL FRONT NUMBERS ".. It applies to Nike jersey as well..

i was wondering what does this means ? and what's the difference ? any sifus..have any experience with this ? smile.gif Thanks.
*
Simple. The SMALL FRONT NUMBERS are for the international team jerseys. They are the small front numbers lah, the small numbers place at the front of the national team jerseys. Like the england home jersey, the front number is the small number located at the front (beneath the umbro and england crest)

Syumul..

We can enjoy this hobby if we know how to.. Ensure that you have a proper budget to follow... set limit per month.. (easy said, not easy done though) Try to avoid using credit cards but use debit card to help controlling your budget.

And try to be nice and be friends with other collectors because they might help you provide some useful sources to buy authentic but cheap jerseys. Be honest, do not join into this hobby because of making profit and easy money from this noble hobby. We have some members who do that and betray us because we trust people when we share some sources and links to obtain good deals and bargains. But then once we found out that they are making side business and milking out money from this, it hurts us and don't ever break a trust from any member.

I've had ups and downs from this hobby. The bad side is I had few financial issues because of this hobby and I lost some friends because of it also. I'm a person who used to trust people easily but then once I know that a certain person cannot be trusted (no matter how huge his collection is or if he is a die hard match worn collector) I will never trust that person again. So trust is important.

The ups is of course.. I get to know so many friends, locally and abroad.

Have fun.

the guys one is just like a shrunken adults shirt.

the female version is abit longer than the guys one.
thus having a nice difference to it.

I'm with odieseven on this. Problem with female cutting jerseys is the sleeves are too small. Cannot place the EPL patches or starball on the sleeves. Besides for some muslims, they might feel more comfy to wear boys size or even men size jerseys.

Sadly this article on the Star World Cup Fever is highlighting fake jerseys
*
This is funny.. The same newspaper that showed the news on a raid held on fake sports good at JB has an article that is promoting fake jersey?

QUOTE
Fake sports goods seized
user posted image

JOHOR BARU: The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry has seized about RM1.3mil worth of fake goods, including football jerseys and shoes from businessmen who were trying to cash in on the current World Cup fever.

Officers from the ministry had been keeping tabs on a row of shophouses for almost a month before the raid. The seizure was the biggest this year.

State chief enforcement officer Abdul Hamid Abu Bakar said among the 500,000 items seized were shoes, jerseys and other sports merchandise bearing fake labels of Nike, Adidas, Crocs, Gucci, Converse and Levi’s.

“They were trying to cash in on the World Cup by offering fake football jerseys of major teams such as France, Portugal, Spain, Brazil and Germany,” he said.
Seized: Abdul Hamid (left) checking the fake goods during a raid on three connected shophouses at Bukit Indah in Johor Baru Wednesday.

He also said the three shophouses in Bukit Indah were connected to each other and there was a built-in elevator shaft as well as closed-circuit television cameras.

“We believe that the fake good were meant for distribution in Johor as well as other states.”

Abdul Hamid said two men in their 30s, believed to be workers in the premises, were detained.

“We will investigate who the owner of the shops is, where the goods were sourced from and how they were distributed,” he said.

The ministry had raided 40 premises in the state and confiscated fake items worth more than RM90,000 prior to the current seizure.

“We will continue to conduct such operations as we are targeting not only the sellers but also the suppliers of these fake goods,” he said.

Anyway to those who think that buying fake jerseys in which is supporting the market and business does no harm, there was a good TV documentary show at astro (Channel 732 - Crime & Investigation Network) that is called Fakes (Part 1 and 2). This documentary show discusses about the fake industry at Thailand and China and it also involves fake Football Jerseys. Sadly the show's repeat was aired in early Jan 2010 so we missed it. But to those who wants to see the trailer of the show, here's a snippet:

http://www.citvasia.com/flash/fakes.swf

QUOTE
We all love them: cheap ‘Rolexes’, cut-price handbags that are ‘just the same’, DVDs, or drugs we can only get off the internet. No-one suffers, do they?

Fakes is the human story of the fastest rising crime of our times, worth billions of dollars a year. A generation ago some of the world's top brands we’ve outsourced to the East to take advantage of cheap labour. Now it's payback time as counterfeited goods, produced in industrial quantities, are flooding western markets.

Nothing is safe, with everything from toothpaste to toys, and mobile phones to car parts being counterfeited. And lives are being put at risk as even prescription medicines are being faked. In Nigeria, as much as 40 per cent of drugs in circulation are counterfeit, and record quantities have now been detected in the UK.

The series travels to China, Nigeria and Thailand to meet the fakers, and the men and women risking their lives to take them on. Southern China is the heart of global counterfeiting, with a tradition of copying going back centuries. And while brands are unable to stop the tide, the Chinese government are doing nothing.

The series features some of the victims of the trade; from workers forced to work in faking factories, to relatives of people who died due to bogus medicines. And it reveals how the internet, and otherwise law-abiding people, are being used to sell fakes.

My point here is.. that many people don't know what has gone through when a factory produces fake goods.. in this case, fake jerseys. From the documentary show that I watched, I was shocked to see the workers at the factories producing fake jerseys were treated badly. Some were chained to the machine, working in cramped and not hygienic places.. the workers here are victims. Some are forced to worked because the parents owe money to loan sharks,.. Terrible..

And also.. there are rumours that some of the fake jerseys are unsafe to health.. check this out: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/157...rove-fatal.html

Sorry mate, missed out on your question. I think aw13 has answered it for you.

QUOTE(air_mood @ Jun 11 2010, 12:03 PM)
Well, I understand why some people get fakes. It's a cheap and somewhat OK shirt. And granted when people don't know about where and how to get the shirts fairly cheap, it can sometimes go to ridiculous prices. I mean, some of this sellers, the prices they are selling...wow. Ridiculous.
*
Another thing that annoys me and could in a way lead to people buying fake jerseys are some people who are selling authentic jerseys but selling them at ridiculous prices. This in a way kills off the interests of some people who are interested to look for genuine stuff..

Well it's ok if you own the item and the item you are selling is valued appropriately. For example, a genuine match worn jersey...of course has a higher price market value. But what makes me disappointed is when there are some people buying something that is sold at a decent price elsewhere and then later sells it off at a stupid ridiculous price (in some cases... profit margin up to 100% or above). It's not against the law but still... it is unethical to me.

It happens everywhere especially in this hobby....

QUOTE(nimrod2 @ Jun 12 2010, 03:08 PM)
anyways, what you said about the patches being sold, i guess we can't do much other than boycott lor.
that is our right as a buyer. so we should exercise it.
he was quick enough to buy a whole lot first and thus he gets to dictate the market price for it.
so those guys are only here to make profit, and not collect.
if he was a geniune collector, i don't think he would like to squeeze the other JC's dry like that.
maybe a little margin to cover overheads and stuffs, but not many times over.
*
Actually I think what erks people like makakeke and others is that these profit hunters sip the info from others and then quietly whallops everything and then re-sells it at crazy prices.

Yes, he/she is quick enough.. that is true. But that is not the reason why it upsets people but from where they get the info.

If you have your own efforts to obtain the sources, that is your 100% right. Tell me, who on this earth wants to do business with no profit?

It's the matter or issue on ethical. You join a forum, never or rarely join or mingle with us, quietly read infos on good and cheap deals, then quietly for yourself you go and whallop a lot and then resell it. First of all, the intentions is clear that you want to make purely 'untung atas angin'. Secondly, from where you got that info.

This is why some 'hardcore' jersey collectors are reluctant to join my-fjc. Because they are reluctant to share info on great deals. I know few.. one collector, he has the biggest collection in Malaysia and he is a bit reluctant to join my-fjc because of this. Another person, who is the "godfather" of a certain team jersey collection was at first reluctant to join us because of this issue as well, but finally he is abroad and we salute him for sincerely sharing a lot of precious infos. This hobby is tainted by these kind of people.

The key here is trust. When you trust someone, you are willing to share info on great sources to help complete your collection. Trust me it works. You need it in a huge network who shares the same hobby. Which is why trust is important. And the same reason why I denied someone to enter our forum because of 'trust' issue. Sorry to say, I might be mean but that's vital. Besides the decision was made as a group, not mine alone. So once you break the trust... sorry mate.

At the end... yes, you can make profit from your sales. But please do it ethically. No fake jersey. No need to quietly sip out info from others and then misuse it.

Finally godash, I agree with you on the right as a buyer. We should boycott these kind of people.. which is what we currently do hihi..

Where did you buy them..

Sorry to say but both starball and respect patches looks fake to me.

Why?

1. The plastic film should be crystal clear and has a clear backing.. Yours has that white blurry fuzzy look on the areas that doesn't have material on the plastic film.

2. On the plastic film for the UCL Starball for 09/10, there should be a small square written 'TOP' on top of it. Yours doesn't have it

3. As far as we know.. most of the respect patches are senscilia technology with no plastic film.

It's fake dear. There is nothing to compare because umbro never made this jersey (as a player's match jersey or training jersey).

In fact this was the 'false alarm' kit that was leaked previously as being rumoured to be England's new home kit... which was false

bought it including shipping rm79. sold it to my friend for rm60. he sold it back for rm100!!!
since he really2 wanted it, sold it to him cheaper than i paid. i really thought he's a collector too. summore the size fit him.

summore that guy is my colleague, and i am a regular mudah.my user, how come he has the guts to sell it back like that? so i prank him, acted like a genuine buyer, then FFK him LOL

but still  mad.gif

That's the pain of having those unethical sellers who are main priority is to get profit.

I remember you saying that you were lost just now.. regarding the argument that we were discussing.

To cut short and make things easy to understand.. (no need to give gramma story.. manufacting profit la, kitbag la, mamak la) at first we were angry when one reporter from The Star newspaper wrote something about the World Cup 2010 and was indirectly promoting fake jerseys. Then I added that, we are pissed off with these kind of people (selling fake stuff) but not only that, but with unethical sellers.

What do I and the rest mean about unethical sellers?

1. People who buy cheap and then sell expensively. Like the case you had.
2. Members joining my-fjc, then quietly sniffing the infos in the forum (spotted deals, bulks, bargains) and then misused it by buying them (small quantities or bulk, doesn't matter) and then re-selling them at ebay, mudah.com.my at crazy prices.

Example: Recently there was an ebay seller selling some Player Issue jerseys from the Nike Warehouse Sales in 2009. They were originally sold for £39.99 (shipping fee £8.00). Total: £39.99 + £8.00 = £47.99 or RM230++

Then this unethical seller resold one of it at RM750

How many % profit this seller gets? You do the maths...

No need to debate on getting it directly from supplier or what. Clearly we can see.. this kind of seller is so greedy.

Example: Whalloping the rare patches sold at some sellers like at wiggysports.co.uk (rare AXA Fa Cup Patches, retro The Football League patches) and then reselling them at mudah.com.my or ebay. Profit margin might not be that high but it was unfair because the info was first shared in my-fjc forum. There were some members who wanted it but were too late or didn't have the chance to do so because of these unethical sellers who pretend to be jersey collectors but were more to sellers (in fact, some of these people never even showed their collection).

Sometimes I wonder, should we impose a rule that new members or existing ones must show off their collection to gain their trust in the forum (that they are genuine collectors not profit hunters pretending to be collectors)? It's harsh because new members who want to learn this hobby might not have one... So it's a bit hard to apply.

So we had to act fast and ban these kind of members from the forum. Warning was given though beforehand but were ignored.

That's what the argument is about mate.. Hope that we can educate ourselves and others to stay away from these kind of sellers. icon_rolleyes.gif

__mill,

If you want to find ladies size jerseys.. you can try looking at nike boutique stores at mid valley, one utama, sunway piramid and other shopping malls. But the quantities are limited here.

The best alternative is to buy them online from reputable online stores such as kitbag (www.kitbag.com). You can use your credit card or debit card (or even your maybank atm debit card) to purchase them online.

Actually in UK.. the PU type EPL namesets are popular at local stores.

But in Malaysia and Singapore, they opted to have the lextra type EPL namesets.. because they scared that buyers will be skeptical and reluctant to buy.. because of fearing them to be fake ones..

Which is why, if you buy kits from kitbag, never get them print the EPL namesets or patches because they are replica sized (PU). Better get them printed here. But from subsidesports, can because they will use lextra namesets

Just register the normal ATM card in MSOS
Just set limit of purchase with normal ATM card?

So can save the $12?

Nope, you cannot skip that part. Why, because the normal Maybank ATM card is just MEPS and BANKARD only. You can to convert it to Maybank Visa debit card so that the ATM card has a visa logo, becomes a visa debit card and you can use it to buy anything online using the visa merchant. Not only online but also overseas as well.

It cannot work if you use normal ATM Card. laugh.gif

Nope they don't because they use normal airmail.

And I think the actual ones worn by the players in the World Cup is also velvet material, not embroidered.. because it is too troublesome for the kitman, according to wiggy sports' blog:

England World Cup scrolls
By Mike at Wiggy Sports

Hi All, haven’t posted for a month and then so many in a few days.

Update on England match shirts. From the World Cup onwards, all England Match shirts instead of having an embroidered scroll underneath the crest will now have transfers using ArtCut DB flock which is the same material as used on the Carling Cup Final Badges. We’re looking into the possibility of getting these so will update soon.

Source: http://wiggysports.wordpress.com/2010/06/1...ld-cup-scrolls/

So the thin velvet material is ArtCut DB flock, which is the same material used for carling cup final 2010 patches
