Cool! Are you in the acrylic business? Otherwise it is not cheap having to custom-make one of those. How much did you make them for? My estimate maybe around S$30 plus? You use which thickness of acrylic? Acrylic really shot up in price these couple of years.
For me, I prefer to use fine netting over a large cut out hole at the top or side for ventilation otherwise your drilled/laser cut holes(I can't estimate how big the holes are from the pics) need to be very small to prevent fruit flies from flying out. It is more difficult to give water via the small cut holes, meaning you may have to open the cage to mist. With netting you can just mist without touching the cage. Just my 2 cents.
I don't really know but I see, like you also like to play with containers. Over the years of keeping fish, various live food and now having inverts and their live food, I can't tell you how many types of containers/diy cage I have... always buying different types and cutting them and testing them.

Wah, you got a rack specially set up to place your acrylic boxes? May i ask where you place the rack? Seems like a very classy display...
It would be a great talking point for guests if it was placed right in the living room! Be proud of your fighting spiders!

This morning, Bro Edmund and me cycled along Mand## Road to recee for new FS spots. Yes, it was 2 matured gentleman huffing and puffing away as we cycled up the slope...with 2 small bikes. His is a foldable bike and mine a BMX...though did not really caught any FS on significant size, I did enjoy my time with Bro Edmund.

Currently, the FS enthusiast in SG range from 20s to 50s with me in my mid forties....

After a tiring uphill bicycle trip, met up with Bro Ricky and gave all our FS a good workout.

Indeed you are a Kaki who is really Good in Innovating, Improvising and stuff..
The Next and Most Important Challenge now is to see how long the FS can live healthy under such Natural Setting,
my longest record is 102 Days, is already considered quite long but definitely not the longest among all the Kakis as i heard some Kakis can keep till 6~7months and personally when i was at Pri Sch period, i also witnessed a Close FS Kaki of mine kept his 7-legged Normal-turned-Chopster FS for 6months before. Hope with these New Homes you made, the FSes can live much longer..

That would really compress the file size considerably without at the expense of having poorer video quality. lone ranger indeed is quite a big and strong fighter (my num 2 is bigger and has longer arm but still lose to lone ranger). I lost lone ranger, 2nd king and my 3rd king this morning. forgotten to close my door and all my dogs came in and wreck all the containers on the table. I did not see any corpse (probably my dogs ate them) but am still hopeful to see them jumping in my house. RIP lone ranger, 2nd king & 3rd king.....

All your FS caught looks like have good size. Even the video recorded from far, can see the FS arm quite long ady.
If you camera have macro mode.. can take clearer close-up video& pics.

Wow, your place really got big FS. Over here, I struggle to get FS of that size.

Actually I have a relative in Cheras. Thinking of visiting that relative and if you're comfortable, I bring back your FS to SG to have their match with ours. Maybe school holidays in June then can go.

Our fellow Bro Buaya (a.k.a as Peter) and Bro Ah Kim has a few good sized FS probably like King Kenny and not many FS Bros here can give him a good match due to size difference. Just a thought..... yours against theirs should be a good match up

It is really nice to hear that Bro Mindstorm is back in the FS world having caught a sizable blueish FS.

Yes, would be better if I can bring my FS to fight yours if I do go over to Cheras. Regarding hunting, I should be Ok but have some constrain as I can start early morning but need reach home by 10 am as my young children coming along and look for me when they wake up. Would be good if the spots are near Cheras.

I am impressed by the long arms of your FS and thanks for the nice photos. I am not so good gauging the FS size based on photos but they do appear to be of good size and I am basically salivating at the thought of fighting SG Vs M'sia FS. Maybe if I going, can get our strongest SG FS against your side, video it for everyone to enjoy.

OK gotta work now and yesterday caught an SL sized FS called Excaliber.

very nice to have such gatherings bro randy, I went to a chopster area this evening and caught 4 males, 1 without an arm, 1 without a leg, 1 without both arms, last one normal but still young.

All can chop well especially the one without both arms, this crazy chopster will chop at anything without fear even fighting and losing 10 times in a row (siao kia). the 1 arm and the 5 legged also charge to chop upon seeing opponent (I think thats why they all lost part of their body). As im still unable to upload videos, I will post some pics tomorrow morning.

Bro mindstorm will upload some of our fights yesterday soon (thanks bro).

I will be on leave on monday & tuesday (ph). Im gonna explore more in that area (hope to find a super chopster). Anyone would like to come along?

p/s : bro Randy, when exactly ru coming to KL? Im staying in cheras behind tmn connaught. Boy this is an area where u can really find forest and undevelop areas, all my fs is caught there except for my 1st & 2nd king. Im excited by the thought of hunting together and also to see sg's fs. Im sure we will record some nice videos (but I think it might take forever to break the 9min record )

He is Aso, from the photo you can see actually his color is very normal.. at that time i remember i got a very Good Spar named Chachu, perhaps he is one of the main reason why Aso progressed to be a Tenacious Fighter and also met the Right Opponent Ratchet at the Right timing.. also a Great Matter of Luck too, like we need this Luck to get L or XL sizes when we hunt..

Hi Everyone

After viewing the video, appears that the outcome of the fight was quite respectable and not so jialat for my FS. Will work to strengthen my team.

Yes, it is exciting times ahead. Bro Ricky going to Cheras on 28/5. If a meeting can be arranged with Bro Mindstorm and Bro Jason, I would like to tompany one of my FS. I better hunt extra hard these few days. As for me, I not sure when I going Cheras and likely in June. Will keep you guys informed once decision is made. Last time last year, think November or December 2010, I thought I going Cheras but relative came to SG instead.

I am very excited that near Bro Jason's place have many FS spots, even an exclusive spots dedicated to Chopsters. Dying to go there to hunt together but need you guys to show the way there and back as I am bad with directions/roads. Over here, we really struggle to get a decent spot and you guys will laugh if I tell you for weekends, I actually drive about 25++ kilometres (one way) just to go to an FS spot, hunt for one hour (I always in rush juggling time) and often go home empty handed.
