Hi Everyone..

Yeah.. today met up with Bro Koppao again after such a long time and long break from him..
It is Great to have him back into the FS Circle again! Actually both Bro Randy's and Bro Ricky's FSes are quite equally matched in terms of Size and Fighting Skill.. thumbup.gif
These are the Fights we videoed, sorry for the poor quality as it is already getting quite dark when we were videoing it.. blush.gif

Yo Bro Jason.. it has been quite some time since a FS Kaki talks about this 9mins Fight again..
So just to share with you one of the 9mins Fighter's Photo:
[attachmentid=2208706]
He is Aso, from the photo you can see actually his color is very normal.. at that time i remember i got a very Good Spar named Chachu, perhaps he is one of the main reason why Aso progressed to be a Tenacious Fighter and also met the Right Opponent Ratchet at the Right timing.. also a Great Matter of Luck too, like we need this Luck to get L or XL sizes when we hunt.. smile.gif

nevertheless, u guys hold the most amazing record for fs fight. the only way to beat it is to train my fs to face each other and not fight for about 9.50min then fight lol rclxm9.gif

Hi Everyone

After viewing the video, appears that the outcome of the fight was quite respectable and not so jialat for my FS. Will work to strengthen my team.  flex.gif

Yes, it is exciting times ahead. Bro Ricky going to Cheras on 28/5. If a meeting can be arranged with Bro Mindstorm and Bro Jason, I would like to tompany one of my FS. I better hunt extra hard these few days. As for me, I not sure when I going Cheras and likely in June. Will keep you guys informed once decision is made. Last time last year, think November or December 2010, I thought I going Cheras but relative came to SG instead. tongue.gif

I am very excited that near Bro Jason's place have many FS spots, even an exclusive spots dedicated to Chopsters. Dying to go there to hunt together but need you guys to show the way there and back as I am bad with directions/roads.  Over here, we really struggle to get a decent spot and you guys will laugh if I tell you for weekends,  I actually drive about 25++  kilometres (one way) just to go to an FS spot, hunt for one hour (I always in rush juggling time) and often go home empty handed.   ohmy.gif

yo bro randy, u have so many fs (how do you cope with feeding?).im having problem feeding because i have about 20 of them in my house now (the good ones got hungry and ate all my sparings during fight), have release about 5-6 the other day when i was with bro mindstorm but they seem to be bigger and more everytime i go hunt. ur right, my area is a haven for the fs, out of the city with lots of nature plants. I think it will take me at least a year just to explore all the areas.

dont worry, i will be your tour guide when ur here thumbup.gif

Hi Bro Jason

We in SG have no problem on FS food as we all buy baby cricket from a farm and distribute it amongst our fellow Kakis. This is the primary source of food and the baby cricket is about the size of an ant and need no maintenance at all. S$2.00 worth of baby cricket which we refer to as " pin head " can buy at least 1000 baby (maybe much more as I never count) and can last 2 weeks before they grow too big. As a standby, I feed them LC worm too which is a small version of meal worm with equally low maintenance and breed easily. However Fs prefer baby cricket. I will try to upload and post video of the baby crickets and the LC worm over the weekend. My current practice is I keep only up to 4 Fs.

If Bro Ricky meeting you guys, maybe he can bring some crickets for you and I try to pass him some LC worm for you guys. LC refers to "Leng Chee " (lotus seed in Hokkien if I am correct).

Before knowing the existence of these steady fuss free food source, I was very stressed about FS food having to catch mosquito and housefly which is quite rare at where I stay. I even resort to bringing home ant nest from trees and catching flies from dog shit at my parents place over the weekend. Once I actually brought a small net into a public toilet to catch the small flies....think I am mad biggrin.gif Oh yes, also carry rubber band and shoot housefly in public in my office attire (as I am good with rubber band shooting too.)

I am very excited to see all your FS pictures and already dreaming of hunting in KL/Cheras as I read again and again your sentence:-

"but they seem to be bigger and more everytime i go hunt. ur right, my area is a haven for the fs,"

Will try to persuade Mrs Exspiderking to go Cheras soon.

Your Exspiderking

Tonight's fight

This is really one crazy night, its the chopster team vs big size team ended chopster team beat my 1st king and potential boy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjVvbEr-XD8 - handicap chopster won vs goldie (my current first king)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjVvbEr-XD8 - handicap chopster won vs goldie round 2 (goldie injured his arm on handicap chopster's first chop)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw6bH9NnNdA - handicap chopster ate survivor on first chop (survivor never had a chance to fight back).sry i didnt get the full video cause it happen so fast and im still an amateur on taking the video and letting them fight at the same time

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64eJ5mi8ZqY - siao kia chopster won vs potential boy (this is really crazy considering the size and handicap, look at the way he jump to chop....hin...)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH_P2_JYHNI - siao kia chopster won round 2 vs potential kid (need to confirm the siaoness....got confirmed on round 2) rclxub.gif actually the video did not lag nor pause, if u watch for few times u will realise siao kia chopster actually jump to chop, its speed made the move almost invisible

I dont know whether to be happy or sad seeing the chopster team won tonight cause my goldie is so much bigger than the handicap chopster (handicap somemore...) not to mention siao kia's size with both his arm gone still won against a much bigger opponent potential boy.

i find that the chopster team (consist of crazy chopster, handicap chopster and siao kia chopster) never retrieve in any fights be it win or lose the previous 3 rounds), this crazy chopster team will jump and chop their opponents on first sight not like the rest of my fs which will push then only chop. what amazes me tonight is the fighting will of siao kia chopster, its either they are freaking hungry or they really are from the siao chopster family (which I most likely think cause 3 of them chop the same way, jump and chop on first sight, takde berlagak open arm long long)

what i can confirm is I will definately go back hunt at the same chopster zone during the weekend (monday & tuesday holiday so got extra 2 days to hunt). Im now feeling a bit sry for myself cause i let go a fs of ampang boy's size during my hunt yesterday (its the only non handicap fs I saw there)

bro mindstorm, im eager to hunt again with you, what say u on next tuesday?

cant sleep thinking about how the siao kia chopster will do against my bigger fs so i decided to record 2 more fights, im still surprise to see how long it can last against a bigger opponent than previous fight....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqKgpfaxgkE - siao kia chopster sting breitling, this is way a bigger size for you to swallow 'siao kia'....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujp_XZ7mU4c - siao kia chopster lost vs lone ranger2, i really dont know from which planet siao kia came from, worth waiting for this fight....

Cool! Are you in the acrylic business?
No i'm not ,I got contractors to do it.

How much did you make them for?
S$100+@

You use which thickness of acrylic?
5mm

I can't estimate how big the holes are from the pics......
2mm in diameter- laser drilled

May i ask where you place the rack?
In the living room at middle height of wall
*The sliding door is right in front ,so just slide up to take care of plant +
feeding of spiders also very easy, just drop crickets near leaf and they'll plunge for it.......

Yeah, Tuesday I had fun going on a hunt with Bro Jason. Met up with him and he brought me to one of the nearby wasteland in Cheras. Pretty vast area and can go quite deep in. Although most of the leaves weren't the normal type of leaves we normally find fs, but there were plenty of them there. However, probably due to season, most of the fs there were females or growing ones. It was tough luck for me finding any males there, but Bro Jason was swift with his penknife in cutting plenty of CB leaves with nest attached and males inside! Some pics

Entrance to wasteland

The TRADITIONAL FS HOUSING - match boxes!... to be precise-SUPERMAN matchboxes!
Attached Image
Haha...that's only for backup i think, Bro Jason got other up-to-date housing...
Attached Image
Attached Image
The CB trees there were actually few and far in between but Bro Jason managed to catch a couple of good size males from this one lone standing tree...
Attached Image
A view at the entrance where we fought and culled some of smaller and weaker males
Attached Image

We were there for about an hour plus before deciding to head to another place, hopefully to catch bigger males. We had lunch together and chatted about stuff before Bro Jason drove us to KL area for subsequent exploring.
Stopped at one of a favourite place introduced by Viper...
Bro Jason was astounded to the ease of finding so many males in a place like this situated just next to a busy road... This is where he got his 1st and 3rd king.
I too found 4 males here. We spent maybe less than an hour here before we are maxed out of containers. So had to drive somewhere to fight and rid of weaker males.
Attached Image
Halfway driving to a nearby park, one of my males(the biggest one) escaped and surprised Bro Jason when he spotted it walking on his windscreen...
Attached Image
We had many fights but almost all of them were pushes because most of the males, while having good size, seem still to be quite newly moulted. I'm sure with subsequent keeping and training, they will become better figthers. One old uncle came and watch most of the fights and had the usual comments..
"Nowadays very hard to find fs", "Last time the fs much bigger" etc. But i suspect he wasn't really pro because he said that this fs cannot be kept and will shrink very shortly after keeping them. But still , good to have a spectator. :)
Later we went to a few more promising looking places but unfortunately were practically void of fs..
Attached Image
Attached Image
Last spot at a dead end in an area with expensive looking houses. Only caught one male there.
Attached Image
All in all a great outing day, with Bro Jason taking all top 3 spots with his 1st, 2nd and 3rd king, all newly caught.. pushing out his old team before the day's hunt. I'll be keeping a couple of my bigger ones to see how they mature up.

it will be great if i can get some baby cricket for feeding, at least for a week I dont have to wake up early in the morning to snap flies rclxms.gif

Im really excited thinking about hunting together bro randy drool.gif but I have to tell you the sizes of the fs may vary from the videos/pics than the

originals and after more than 10 years not hunting and owning fs, I might probably have forgotten the images of what u guys call ML or L size, laugh.gif

Hi Everyone

It is very exciting to see FS videos and all the pictures from our Malaysian friends.

In SG, almost all the known FS habitat we knew as a child is long gone, replaced by tall buildings and Shopping Malls. Other FS potential spots are often located at protected nature reserves, guarded by park rangers who are empowered to issue summons. We do have proven spots, but they can be counted in one hand only. Occasionally, we manage to get quantity, of about 10 at Nirv### but they are often M size FS which are too small. It takes me about 3 hours of lunchtime hunt i.e. 3 lunches for me to get one SL sized FS and that is no guarantee that they are good fighters. sad.gif

In view of the above, it is indeed refreshing to see for a change that Bro Jason's FS harvest was so good that he ran out of containers. It is equally nice and exciting to know that proven FS spots are just round the corner from where Bro Mindstorm and Bro Jason live. As such, many SG Fs enthusiast see Malaysia as the FS greener pastures, the FS promised land. We yearn, dream and fantasize just to have the opportunity to hunt FS in Malaysia. rclxms.gif

All the Chopsters featured appear to be very fierce and cannot wait to makan. For me, I normally keep my normal fighter FS for about 2 weeks before I introduce a small chopster to them. Only when they have gain enough experience with the small chopster would I fight them with Chopster of the same size. This is because I noticed that many of my newly caught FS cannot handle chopster and appear shocked when chopped and have no guts after being chopped.

I really cannot wait to go over to Cheras to hunt with Bro Mindstorm and Bro Jason. Would be nice if Bro Viper can join too. By June, you guys would have figured out the best spots. Maybe by then, another XL sized FS would be caught by you guys too. Boy .....June is just so exciting.

Here's the video showing LC worms and baby crickets. biggrin.gif

Was really tired by then but I couldnt stop thinking about the chopster area so i went out again and caught 4 males from that specific area. As im too eager to get bigger size fs I did not take many pics but here are some which was taken

Im having another 3days off so I have lotsa time to explore new areas (hope these areas will quench your appetite when u guys come over)

p/s : bro ricky, can u get some baby crickets for me when u come over, thanks in advance

Hi Bro Jason

I should also likewise write and inform you guys about my activities here. It is almost totally the reverse of your FS hunt i.e. not good FS outcome. biggrin.gif

Yesterday, met up with Bro Edmund and his 11 year old boy at 6.45am at Jalan Kayu. Bro Edmund treated me to Roti Prata (Roti Chanai) and then we started our hunt. Hunted inside the Seletar area and I did not get any FS of any significant size after about one hour. Think Bro Edmund got 2 SL sized FS. We then went to an abandoned golf course and I caught 2 entry level SL sized FS. The highlight of our hunt, at least to me, was the need to jump across a loosely dug drain. I somehow barely managed to jump across and Bro Edmund also managed but ...err... his legs were a bit wet but he managed too. Well for me, No FS nevermind....jumping across the drain is already an achievement. rclxms.gif

At home, tried the 2 Fs and they did not pass the probation.

Today, I did not plan to hunt but got up at 5.30am and my mind was on, what else but FS. tongue.gif So left home at 6.15am and hunted around Mandai. Went to the area I cycled with Bro Edmund last week and cycled deep into the area that look at bit like a nature reserve. I used the foldable bike and 2 hours of hunt gave me 5 males and retained the biggest which is at most entry level SL size. Though I did not see any big FS, I saw a very long brown colour cobra which I estimate to be as long as 1.5 metres. Struggled with my handphone video mode and the snake was by then gone. blush.gif

So poor exspiderking, a botak harvest as compared to Bro Jason who max his containers. Maybe it is about FS skill and FS luck as I have been in active SMs with Bro Buaya and yesterday he had a fruitful day at Nirv###. However, FS fate was shinning in my favour and Bro Ura gave me 3 FS this morning and after a few rounds of fights, I now have another new team member called Love.

My current team:-

(1) Rudge
(2) This is It
(3) Love
(4) Excaliber

Will try to meet up with our fellow FS bros in Tuesday as is public holiday. Today, our schedules not so compatible. I also have Bro Jason's T-Rex in my care with express instructions to give him a good work out on Tuesday.

Your Exspiderking

Randy

Will try to meet up with our fellow FS bros in Tuesday as is public holiday. Today, our schedules not so compatible. I also have Bro Jason's T-Rex in my care with express instructions to give him a good work out on Tuesday.

Hi bro Randy,

U guys woke up so early to hunt, that really drive my hunting spirit man. I think ur a very brave guy, if its me seeing a cobra it wont take spilt second for me to jump as far as i can from the serpent and run for my life, its even braver of you to try take a pic notworthy.gif . thats the different between hunting alone and in a pack. the slightest movement (maybe cause by just a baby lizard) will make me turn my head off (my place here very scary if go hunting alone because I tend to go to the deepest of an area) but for the love of fs, I always gather my courage to go back laugh.gif seems like I have to double my efford to get bigger fs since u guys are so actively hunting. I only have 2 slightly bigger than SL size currently (might be ML judging by the size of royal & shadow) which is my 1st & second king.

yo bro Ricky,

thanks in advance for bringing the crickets over, is it possible to also bring a few lc worms (food testing, laugh.gif )?hopefully these consistent food will make my fs become a sumo figure icon_idea.gif I think u should come earlier if ur thinking to go hunting together cause my area is too huge to be covered in a day. Ive identify 7 spots (FS spots) so far, and it takes me 2 weeks to just finish covering the entire 7 areas. I started hunting at about 1pm today ended at 5 due to rain. one question, how do you guys turn your fs into chopper?

Here are some pics taken during my hunting.

new area 1 caught 5 males

opposite new area 1 (accross the road) caught 4 males (1 sizeable blueish)

new area 2 caught 3 males in 8mins, hunting halted due to rain. Thought of resuming after rain but its already dark by then. must go back tomorrow to hunt again. the last male i caught here is a chopster but the size is a bit smaller than SL.

luckily got restaurant nearby or else no where to lepak during rain.

found a baby nest. at last dont have to wake up early for at least 3 days thumbup.gif I cath them all because I saw 3 more nest almost hatching nearby (can see transparent baby inside d)

user posted image
thought of releasing all these in the morning but they died during my breakfast (maybe too hot in the car) vmad.gif

yesterday my 3rd king 'lone ranger2 past away. thought of bringing a few fs to show my friend's kid during football session but never cross my mind lone ranger2 cannot tahan the environment (maybe he terdrink beer and died).Im yet to get his measurement but its easy now, just need ruler or something to measure.

I find it hard to have a consistent team of 4 because the new fs kept pushing my current team down the pecking order except for my 1st & 2nd king

Satisfy overall for today's efford, caught 12 males (kept 4 biggest). Will continue to explore new areas tomorrow and tuesday as Im off. will update you guys on my activities

cheers,
Jason

Hi Randy,

Thks for the joint-hunting again this saturday morning.
It's a poor and wet morning hunt partly due to the earlier downpour on friday.

To makeup for that poor morning ,I went to Nir#### in the afternoon to continue
hunting & met up with brother Buaya/Kim/Ken/ah seng & vincent.
It's always exciting to see veteran bro Buaya & Kim hunting as they show so much
experience in hunting. We had a nice gathering & some FS fighting and had lots of fun.

Today while SMSing bro Buaya, he invited me over to Nir#### again in the afternoon.
This time round, bro Kim/ah seng & vincent were also around.
We had some FS fights with some newly caught & old FS.(No video taken) blush.gif
We played around with some subpow & had some really good fights.

After the FS fights we continued hunting,at around 5+pm I walked to a area where bro
buaya had 'combed' before ,thinking having not much of a chance as it's been searched earlier
by bro buaya. But to my surprised, when i flip on 2 pieces of nicely covered leafs gently,
I saw two male FS trying to start a fight.I shouted quickly to bro Buaya & he came over
helping me to cut the leafs and bring them to the walkway.
After opening up the leafs 1 FS escape but luckily the bigger 1 was still around.
Immediately we used this newly caught to battle against another smaller sized FS,
this newly bigger caught FS showed great strength with good 'Kompung' and won the fight with ease.

To test the newly good caught FS ( Currently Named 'Blue Fox' ) furthermore,
we made it fight with a same sized FS type 'Subpow' belonging to bro Vincent.
Another exciting fight with no videos taken blush.gif
FS Blue Fox resisted at least 3 -4 chops by the 'Subpow' before winning the fight.
FS Blue Fox has great potential and should be my 1st king now.

My current team:-

(1) Blue Fox
(2) Silver(Had great fight with Blue Fox & lost recently)
(3) Toto
(4) M1

Will try my best to meet up with our fellow FS bros next Tuesday.

Hi Bro leejason,

I think it's easier to gather here in Singapore as we are a small island.
KL itself is so big and we envy u guys for having so many hunting grounds.
I hope the sg team can organise and join you guys in KL on a hunting trip together.
smile.gif

Yours sincerely
edmund

Hi Bro Jason.. actually U no need to envy us.. It only works when Both Sources are Feasible.. smile.gif

1) Got FSes, No Kakis = No Meaning

2) Got Kakis, No FSes = Also No Meaning

Now we Sporeans Kakis are Facing the SECOND Problem really seriously.. sad.gif
