Hi all, I've been working in this company for 9 years and started from the bottom. When writing for resume, should I list down my job scope since the beginning? I've stopped doing some of the task for years (mostly ad hoc tasks), is it still necessary/relevant? Also should I mention my timeline...as in which year I got promoted?

One more, if i want to include my picture, can I just use the picture I took using my mobile?

Thank you for the feedback.

Go by the rule of thumb, only state those skills that are are related to the job that you are going to apply soon. Employers will not have the time to go through each and every details in your resume. You need to point of the best skills you have and those experience that you consider able to help your future employer out.

For pictures, do not place it within your resume. You can send them, but as a separate file or folder. The reason behind this is that some employers( Reputable companies) do have ATS system and will automatically scan your resume. Picture files will be scan as unknown, and you resume will be rejected by the system, before the employer able to read it.
Good luck.

It is not compulsory but, it is best written in it. Others are doing so, you should too, not to get left out.

hey there, there's no problem including both in the resume. it's just that if you only put the UK one, they might ask if u studies there or ur experience in the UK. But there's no harm including one or both, just clarify with them. I used to be a recruiter smile.gif

If you want your CV/resume be a great one - alway use up to date examples and read info about common resume mistakes. Search for some articles like "what to write in a resume to get hired", there is a lot of info on the web and it might really help. Also, you may try different resume helpers or resume services that will create it for you in short period of time, and you won't worry about its quality at all.

What is the reason for you leaving the Company? If it is perfectly explainable and you have valuable experience from the employment, I don't see any reason to not include it in the resume. You never know there might be some value from this 4 months experience that draws the interviewer's attention.

Hi All,

What do you guys put at achievement part?

Basically, I'm just a junior executive with nothing much to boast.

However, I believe I have done my part well because I constantly get complimented by my superiors.

1) Customer Service
- Appraisal -7/10
- Frequently received compliments from customers.
- Received compliments from HOD
- Had loyal customers that would look for me instead of other CS agents when they had issues
- Bosses from other dept wanted me to be transferred to their dept when I couldn't stand CS job anymore

2) Marketing
- Appraisal - 8/10
- Frequently complimented by HOD/GM
- Received compliments from clients
- Received the most certificates for 'syok-sendiri' programme organised by my company

Despite all these, i have nothing to boast like what I see on internet how they have helped company earned xxxx money, successfully organised a project and yada yada.

Besides that, is it ok for the resume to be 4 pages long?

Kindly advise, thanks.

put in numbers.. eg , how many compliments , or % of compliment out of 100 customers/clients etc .
how do you achieve loyal customer base ... give methods. eg . 'doing such and such , successfully attain loyal customer based.
what marketing did you do, what was the strategy ? describe in the CV ( 4Ps, SWOT , etc and what is the measurable items here )

basically make your point form specific and measurable. and yeah , 4 pages is a tad too long .. make it to max 3 .

cheers!
