Onizuka:

1) Understand June & July is peak season, how abt during August? in term of pricing & weather?. august weather is fine. pricing is still the same as in jun/july

2) If v going by plane from LCCT - Redang is Kuala Terengganu airport and Perhentian is Kota Bharu rite? yes thats right

3) Does travel agency package include transportation from the airport (shuttle) and (speedboat) to and return from the island? usually it comes seperately in the package. optional. if you want them to pick you up, just add additional about RM 20 -30 from kt to merang and RM 80 from KT to kuala besut

4) Which beach are great for snorkeling? Redang or Perhentian besar or Perhentian kecil? its almost the same everywhere. corals are dying though

5) Which beach are happening during day & night? Redang or Perhentian besar or Perhentian kecil? perhentian kecil long beach, redang long beach

6) Which beach are more peaceful & relaxing ? for me i prefer lang tengah island

Just wanna ask about Redang Pelangi Resort. How was it? Nice? What about the stretch of beach in front of the resort?

BTW, I'm a vegetarian. Will the resort's restaurant cater to the needs of travellers under the same category as me? Pls elaborate in detail. THX.
*
Redang Pelangi is ok . not bad and nothing to shout about. Its located beside Redang Bay and Coral Redang. Has a cafe cum pub cum ktv and two small huts selling stuffs. The beach is better then the other side ( Laguna ) because laguna that side has more dead corals on the beach and also the waves are bigger.

About the food no idea.

THE LAST 3 YEARS I WENT REDANG, I STAY IN BERJAYA BEACH RESORT, IT IS NO ENTERTAINMENT AT NIGHT, JUST SLEEP ONLY!!

NOW I PLAN TO GO AGAIN NET MONTH(20th), I'M LOOKING FOR LAGUNA BEACH RESORTS, IS IT OK??GOT ANY NIGHT LIFE?? LIKE BBQ...... sweat.gif
*
BBQ normally pre-prepared by the resort which u stay with. Laguna itself has a in-house Disco and KTV which is located behind the reception. Other then that. you could wonder to Redang Beach which is beside Laguna which has a open air cafe like HALO CAFE whereby got ppl sing songs. There's Beach Disco at Redang Bay and also Redang Holiday and also so called pubs in Redang Reef and Redang Pelangi.

the beach too much dead corals and painful when walking barefoot...but the sand really soft and white....especially where the blue coral resort was closed down, the sand were like untouched....

Pulau Kapas beach is nothing special.. The beach is juz like any other beach although the senery is quite nice... Corals there are not up to standart compared to Redang....

Compared to Redang, Kapas losses out...(although Kapas used to b nice years back)... Probably due to the low mantainence....

Well Pulau Kapas u need to go to Marang to go there..(not typo..Is Marang... smile.gif )
Merang is where u go to Redang....

Berjaya is more exclusive(n more expensive, well u can say its the most expensive of all).... Nice But kinda boring as it is the only resort on the beach...They have more facilities la compared to Laguna...
Laguna less exclusive abit than berjaya but Laguna more fun 2 me coz along the beach got other resorts to visit....

rclxm9.gif yeah.. ijust got back from Redang!! 1 word to describe.. PERFECT rclxm9.gif

i stayed at Bahtera resort, fairly new resort just beside laguna,5 min walk to long beach via laguna, 5 min walk to teluk kalong.. it's in between teluk kalong n long beach!!.. the price is very very resonable too.

it's a quiet resort wif kampung style karaoke system, outdoor pingpong
table, carrom ...

the thing about staying at small resort is, u get to know each n every staff there up close n personal, tok cok wif them, n request extra toiletries, extra lunch, extra snorkeling session without additional charge..

unlike laguna, or other big famous resorts, when go snoakeling, the group is so huge, sometimes have to go in 2 big boats, bahtera has smaller group, so we go snorkeling using speed boat, rclxm9.gif

it's truly an unforgetable experience!! icon_rolleyes.gif
