Yes..you can visit Redang and Perhentian Island after Raya...my advise..please make booking now to avoid fully booked.

21st August till 23rd August are School Holiday..(Have surcharge for school holiday RM40 per night per person x 2 night)

Minimum rental room only RM500 per night ( Deluxe Garden Room )...Return Ferry transfer RM100 per person.and RM180 school holiday surcharge ...total cost RM1380 without meals and activity.

But if you take the package..RM548 per person for twin sharing x 2 adult = RM1096 + RM180 ( School Holiday surcharge )..total RM1276..will include meals ,accommodation and ferry transfer..Its much cheaper take the package..

Most of resort and chalet will be closed during that period..End of October or Mid of October ..Its safe traveling that period..Normally monsoon will start from November till February or Early March..My advise..early of october ..good time to visit Perhentian Island...

Its suitable visiting Redang or Perhentian during End of September...Mostly resort closed End of October ..

If you want to visit Redang Island...during this period (School Holiday).Is not too late to check the accommodation..My advise..If you want to travel..at least 2 month before that..you already booked.

The cheapest budget around RM330 per person will include 2 night accommodation with fan..and RM420 per person with air condition would be nice at Abdul Chalet..normally package will include 2 breakfast 2 Lunch 1 Dinner and 1 BBQ ,Return Speed boat from Kuala Besut jetty to Perhentian Island..and 2 x snorkeling trips with equipment..

Or you can rental the room..quite cheaper..just RM60 per night with fan..

Most of the package not include flight fares and taxi pick up..

Totally agree with you about RedangLang Island Resort....Highly recommend at Dcoconuts Lagoon ...among the best resort in Lang Tengah Island..

Most all resort at Redang Island are fully booked during that period..but if Perhentian Island...still have lots of room.

That resort name Pacifica Redang.still not open yet ..Maybe next year..Its between Coral Redang and Redang Pelangi...
Redang Holiday have a bad reputations of accommodation,food and service..highly not recommended (trips advisor)


You can still get lunch on first arrive..dont worry about that..

Weather is quite difficult to predict...but today..weather nice,hot and clear...Example..Perhentian Island...visibility of water around 80-90% clear..on yesterday..Normally monsoon will start on November until February or Early March..

Added on September 9, 2009, 6:51 amFrom Syahbandar jetty to Sultan Mahmod Airport by taxi will take 20 minutes..fares RM20 per trips.
Normally...the ferry will reach early...around 2.15pm..you can still catch the flight...no need to take earliest ferry at 7.00am or 10.00am

The waves not too strong..but little bit choppy ....still can diving during that time..

1. End of season..less people visiting Redang ..during that period.
2. Monsoon season..resort get early prepare...
3. Maintainer cost at Island...too expensive..resort will try cut cost.
4. Economic Depression and H1N1 Virus...

September sales..drop too much..room fully booked during Hari Raya only (4-5 day)

Ferry from Syahbandar Jetty to Redang Island..not only Berjaya Guest using the service..but other resort also use their service such Redang Beach Resort ,Coral Redang ,Redang Lagoon,Wisana and Redang Mutiara

Syahbandar Jetty depart at 9.00am...and arrive at Long Beach Redang
Syahbandar Jetty depart at 10.30am and arrive at Kampong Jetty Redang
Syahbandar Jetty depart at 3.00pm and arrive at Kampong Jetyt Redang

Durations journey will take 1 hour 30 minutes..

Kampong Jetty..Redang Island are main jetty to Berjaya Redang..Van shuttle Berjaya are waiting you there to pick you up and drop off at Berjaya..journey will take 15 minutes only.

When you take ferry,you seat at VIP room (Berjaya Guest Only) on 1st Floor.

The ferry at 11.00am ..depart from Long Beach ( Pasir Panjang ) to Syahbandar Jetty...The schedule are not listed in Berjaya ferry schedule .
