I just got my white GF1 last 2 weeks ago when I'm in Japan. 20mm pancake set only cost me 40000Yen (u do the math and convert to RM, u will get surprise hehe)... although the menu in JP but I can read JP so that's not an issue for me tongue.gif

now its time to source for 14-45mm...

Yeah.. thats super cheap.

Taiwan a bit more.. about RM1.66K for body + pancake. A lot of my collegues now racunning me ... especially after seeing the GF2.

Just bought a white GF1 with the 20mm.
Wondering why the thumbwheel thingy so rough and noisy when you turn it?
Is yours like that too?

Thank goodness the PASM dial is more rigid than LX3 which IMHO kinda loose and can easily move.

Yea I actually have the same thought when I saw the price.... so I poisoned my friend and end up bought 2 units, white for me and black for him muaahahha.

I predict the GF1 price in Malaysia will continue to slash as well until GF2 launch...

So far from the GF2 spec, doesn't impress me much too. I have not seen any sample shot which shows the High ISO handling yet.

Thanks in advance

Any LX3 users that upgraded to GF1? Do you find it unnecessary to have both and end up selling LX3? So sayang to sell la but if keep never use also wasted blush.gif

I realise something great about m43 system. I just use my pancake 17mm oly lens with my e-p1 and
put them to my coat pocket. No need casing. Awesome mobility rclxms.gif

Not high res but there's some pics on the site below.

ISO800 looks cleaner than GF1 due to stronger NR huh? Detail lost obvious even on small pic like that.

I sold my LX3 before getting the GF1. For me, there's no point in retaining the LX3 if u have GF1...unless u have no issue with $$$. icon_rolleyes.gif

17mm? Wait.... That translate to 34mm wide. Damn, no different from my Canon A720IS....

Still think LX3 has the better wide focus of 24mm, my carry me on landscape and outdoor camera. Sayang want to bring E-P1 to lakes, jungle trekking and hill climbing tongue.gif

I can't imagine ISO6400 on the E-PL1s...3200 was unusable for me. As for the new kitlens, those who are new to m43 won't know the difference but for seasoned m43 users, I wonder actually how many of them still uses the kitlens.
