Assuming you are using the kit lens, I would say that in low light its hard to get a usable picture.

One way is to use higher ISO. Other than that, comes the pancake. haha

Feel crying under low light cry.gif . Can't even get focus (Perhap update firmware later may help). Higher ISO produces high noise and too reddish.

May speed up my timeline to get 20mm...hehee

May I know how low is the quantity of light? If indoor night portraits, the kit lens should not have any problem.

Can be very subjective, depending how you shoot it, what aperture, shutterspeed, ISO, handheld or tripod, IS on/off, etc etc. smile.gif

The bottom-line is, f3.5-5.6 kit zoom lens is not easy for shooting in low light condition... There are workarounds - either you use flash, or go for high ISO (suitable for B&W), or you need to use a tripod

Hi,
Few questions.

1. Can I use olympus PEN compatible flashes with the GF1?
2. Can I use the EP-2 EVF on the GF1?
3. Has anyone tried the Voigtlander 40mm viewfinder with the 20mm pancake? How was it?

thanks smile.gif

1. For Olympus flashes compatibilities of GF1 check under External Flash in this link:
http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/connect/g1.html

2. I dun think any Olympus's EVF are compatible with GF1. icon_idea.gif

3. Not tried .. can't answer you. blush.gif

Stacking lens...with that amount of lenses. I'm worried something might patah.

Wonder how do they aim...
to get the focus of all lenses should be hard.

pancake often refer to :

17mm F2.8 from Olympus

or

20mm F1.7 from panasonic

nickname of these 2 fixed focal lens because of its size.
