Silver E-P2 it is...  thumbup.gif
E-PL1 is too plasticky for my taste and NEX is too 'modern' designed. I'm into old school design so sticking with the E-P2 for the time being... smile.gif
It's my travel and leisure camera anyways so it must be something I'm comfortable in using and show to the public...  laugh.gif
The great thing is many people thought I'm still shooting film when I'm with my E-P1+17mm+VF...  tongue.gif

yesh silver with black grip E-P2 biggrin.gif.. time for upgrade haha...

It's all about good power management! I believe future Oly/Pana M43 models will improve on this

haha i got use e-p2 with zuiko 35-100 f2.0 before...damn kaw heavy
*
lol.. without monopod, there is no way to focus because hand shake like hell.. but that f2.0 u used is a damn sharp lens, every focal length is a prime lens already, same goes with 14-35mm f2.0 ..but ofcoz la, zuiko (SHG) series lens we are talking about.. haha

With the LCD on or off?

I usually don't 100% drain the battery before charging, so don't know how long GF-1 battery can last, but I guess it should be around 380 shots with LCD on, as per the Spec
*
Always on LCD while shooting.

I am one of those who experienced dissatisfaction using cheap filters. My current one is Kenko UV filter and I'm thinking of getting a replacement for it.

But 46mm filters are hard to come by...any recommendation?
*
46mm Kenko UV filter... beware, i would say is china fake Kenko filter, is the ring feel like plastic? very light, easily can take off one.. ?

well.. here local store hard to find but you can try Marumi 46mm UV filter.. otherwise online purchase for b+w or hoya

Fake China made Kenko filters? Serious? Remember mine felt heavy and not plastic wor .. Need go back and take a real look at it lol !!

Searched in Google, some said Hoya and Kenko are actually the same quality *in Japan* tongue.gif
*
kenko 46mm got fake one, which i had it for my 45mm panaleica last time so frustrated mad.gif, then changed to hoya uv hmc already. kenko uv filter 40.5mm i have still okey because it's original, i using it for zoom kit lens . smile.gif

There's a possibility that it is a fake Kenko...

The problem is when at night, when I'm framing a direct light source eg a lamp, there will be "glare" like artifact in my picture. The kit lens filter is good and doesn't really matter since I only using it during day time.
*
Well since you shooting directly into light source, it really depend how flare friendly the lens is to the light source. Normally filter only will make it worse, if want to use, use multi-coated filter always for at least not making it worse. if can avoid direct light source from the frame, use hood to help as well.
