QUOTE(y_owez @ Apr 26 2010, 05:01 PM) thanks very much. no more new models coming out right??? :S wanted nikon d5000 ( but im a girl so dont really want to carry such a big one ) but i like dslr quality and often frustrated with my oly digi cam quality..so came across this lo... panny's g2 looks awesome too...but plastic i assume..sigh.. just another ques: any of uguys use PEN to self potrait?? heheh and yea epl-1 with flash seems to be better for me..i dont want to fork out extra for ext flash?looks so bulky too I did a "cam whoring" with my wife & baby. hehe. So no problem for self potrait (cam whoring style). If you are talking about self potrait in a studio like situation. No problem, just put on tripod and set the timer. BUT, E-PL1 cannot use remote. Added on April 26, 2010, 5:13 pmQUOTE(y_owez @ Apr 26 2010, 05:07 PM) and if im thinking of epl-1..what lens should i get? so many bundle this bundle that :S The Kit Lens is pretty good. But must get Panasonic 20mm f1.7 This post has been edited by bbjslee: Apr 26 2010, 05:13 PM

QUOTE(y_owez @ Apr 27 2010, 09:24 PM) oh ok thanks... hehe... will there be any price drop in june/july? andis there any blog/web where newbie like me can learn about all these??? Camera body will drop with announcement of new models. Lens seldom drop, or the drop is not significant. As for learning, google is your best friend or just ask questions here. Added on April 28, 2010, 5:42 amQUOTE(yop da great @ Apr 28 2010, 04:36 AM) guys noob question here.. we cant zoom with pancake lens rite? how do u guys solve this? QUOTE(Wuahaha @ Apr 28 2010, 09:53 AM) Dude, this question has been asked million times lol, you can find a lot of comparison reviews online, please Google. GF1 for faster AF performance, higher ISO, faster shutterspeed. E-PL1 for built-in IS, more art filters, more punch for Jpeg output. Yes is same mount for both can exchange lenses to use. ON the AF performance, wonder has it changed after new firmware for E-PL1 I notice it is faster, but how does it compare to GF1?

QUOTE(seaotter @ May 5 2010, 04:18 PM) uh god. Now i am at a crossroads. Get the E-PL1 or the E-P1 again? i KNOW i am getting the 20mm this time around. Now i just need to set which body to get. Also the E-PL1 has that double zoom pack, which is very enticing. What to do??? Y take 1 step back to E-P1? should consider E-PL1 or E-P2.

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ May 21 2010, 02:40 PM) I for one, shoot RAW exclusively with my GF1 and post-process it with Adobe Lightroom. Why? 1. RAW output for GF1 is much better than its JPEG output 2. Better control on the mood and setting of the subject 3. Better control on the dynamic range 4. Better noise reduction, I could still shoot ISO1600 and improve it via PP I agree why most people prefer to shoot JPEG, but it's a matter of habit I think... PP is just an extra step of the whole photography process to me I am lazy, so Oly suits me best!
