actually i have a suggestion for LFC.

nothing is as bad as the state of football now.

i suggest we BENCH all the 1st teamers bar Pepe Reina and play the reserve/under 21 team. let them show their worthiness to actually put on the LIVERPOOL shirt.

other 1st teamers seems disinterested to play with pride and sometimes they need the youngsters to kick their butt and show them some motivation, energy and pride....

Hmm don't see any Chelsea fans there. They usually empty the away end first to avoid scuffles.

there were, they were cheering Gerrard as he past them and that's Carra response. Just gotta love his passion for the club biggrin.gif

the captain is having a bad season and yesterday making it worse. he can't wait to end this season any sooner. hope next season he and other mediocre players this season will make it up and win us the treble next season..

cheers!

Until the owners depart, tails between briefcases, Liverpool will not be cured.
There is only one way the club is going under its current guise and that is down.

Gerrard's performance has been inconsistent this season. It could be the injuries. He has never recovered mentally since the last "bar brawl" incident.
Nevertheless, in my opinion, Gerrard is still the most influential player in Liverpool.
He knows he has the responsibility to lead the team whenever he wears the captain armband. He has the quality.

However, I think Carragher is virtually NO IMPACT at all.
Both Reina and Torres are good candidates to be vice-Captain of Liverpool.
Just my 2 cents.

HEAR HEAR!

gerrard is no farking anywhere like 2 face owen nor turd mcmanaman. both these idoits are far greater traitor to the gates of liverpool fc.

stevie IS liverpool fc, as much as i hate saying this, liverpool in most of the times, performed only when gerrard plays a better part of himself & thats not good thing really.

he has singlehandedly carried liverpool in the past & to have non believers question his back pass, IS to insult his contribution when we were down 0-3 in istanbul, the FA cup, that 'goal' against olympiakos & hundreds of other games that we tend to take him for granted.

that is why we need more scousers or other team mates to help carry the team responsibilities. sometimes he tries too hard to overcome the team shortness, remember he had to be substituted against everton when we were down, every pundit screamed benitez was an idiot by taking the best liverpool, the captain off, strategically it paid off!

I didnt enjoy us losing, i was the blackest faced liverpool fan watching amongst the crowd last night. vmad.gif I can see we tried & unlike dumb asses who thinks we just sat to let chelsea take full points by showing up, f*rk u & f*ark off. There were moments chelsea could have been behind, you can see in chelsea face that they had anxious moments in the first half.

but with having played extratime, that draining game, it is not unlikely someone will lose concentration sooner or later. its was pure unfortunate our captain had the distinctive honour, I'm sure he's gutted & would wish the ground gobbled him up.

I will continue to wear the team jersey. I'm a fan & i would wish the storm that we are in will take along with them non-genuine fans, traitors, the absolutely good nothing jekyll & hyde misers, vmad.gif .... maybe too the jinxed brewery logo cool2.gif

i myself didnt see nor read of such news earlier yet it is not unlikely of such instance to take life given the doldrums we are in at the moment.

IF benitez leaves this season (in which in my opinion HE will leave), It is not surprising roy hodgson name is thrown in, come on we had jose mourino, jurgen, the thompson twins & every name that should replace benitez came up. going back to roy, fulham has been a relevation (cerita panas), so it is not so surprising his name is in the mix. He could be a short term quick fix (wont win the title, maybe back into contention for forth place next season IF we have new 4-5 key players. Long term, not good, roy hodgson isnt a spring chicken. He has some success in the continent but to get liverpool to be one of the good fours... we need reinforcements....some real good $$$ for real key players, not excuses to sell & short staff the team.

i cant read benitez mind, i dont know if he will stay. its just my feeling he's been push up far the edge of the plank.

btw, reina; my choise man-of the match for liverpool last night.

Gerrard is having a poor season, no doubt, so does the whole Liv team. The only player that still on top form is Reina.

But to criticise Gerrard alone seems too harsh over the season, even last night goal (the backpass), if looking at replay, Gerrard view is actually somehow partially blocked by another Liv players, while Drogba is very close to Carra or a little behind Carra (before the pass being made to Reina), which view again partially blocked.

Yes, current Gerrard is not the previous year Gerrard, since after the incident last year, Gerrard form has been affected somehow. (My view), but this season, Liv as a team has been poor, and with the manager position in doubt so does owner issue, this will affect more on players' morale issue.

The game liverpool played was actually quite good. Masch as RB he can attack but dont really think he can defend that well. Most of the time Liverpool was missing the attacking point that is torres. When they reach Chelsea's box they seem headless at times. Aqualani is right all over the place so hardworking.

True...Kuyt didn't play in a forward role for the past season or so, seems like he still haven't got used to it yet. That leaves us with Babel (same case like Kuyt but even longer) and Ngog (who had problems with his back in the past week). It shows that we lack of quality, natural forwards who know how to harrass defenders and do forward runs so that there is space for Stevie G or Aquilani to do their stuff....

And WAGs... last we had Alonso's. =/ Oh wait... where's Aquaman's? tongue.gif

You know, when Lucas walks with Rafa and Soto walking alone, I can't help but be reminded of LucasLeiva21's tweets. Whoever deprived us Liverpool fans from genuine comic entertainment should deserve to be burned in hell!  vmad.gif Why is his account suspended in the first place? mad.gif

To be honest though, it looks like there is a hint of sadness in the players when they salute the fans. =/

Now wonder I haven't seen any of his tweet lately. Most of his tweets were hilarious.

Why his twitter account was suspended?

we could've easily went behind in the first half. i won't lie, when aquilani's long range rocket was on its way to scraping the outside of cech's post, i thought it was in. no question liverpool gave it 100% despite the theories utd and the media come up with. the backpass was unfortunate but helped us greatly imo, as we calmed down a bit after the goal. we only became aggressive in the second half, and it was obvious some pool players were fatigued by then. things could've been vastly different if u guys were fresh, but we had a lucky break and gradually stepped up our game. don't mind the trolls. no question of a lack of effort whatsoever, and i'm sure i'm one of the majority of chelsea fans who were at the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

p.s : all the best with getting things sorted out next season.

Rafa Benitez Set For Crunch Talks With Liverpool Over Future

Spaniard wants talks to clear the air.

By Will Ashwell
May 2, 2010 7:04:00 PM

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is set for crunch talks as speculation rises over whether or not he will remain at Anfield next season.

The Spaniard will sit down with Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton to clarify both the manager and the club's future.

After losing to Chelsea in the Premier League, Liverpool have been resigned to a trophy-less season and will not be in the Champions League next season.

Juventus have reportedly come to an agreement with Benitez and are awaiting his signature, and the former Valencia boss should make a decision this week where his future lies as Liverpool continue to look for new owner.

“I have four years left on my contract and I still have to talk with the new chairman,” Benitez told the Daily Post.

“Nothing is clear-cut, nothing is straightforward. We have to wait. It is not just for me to ask one or two questions.
“I haven’t met the chairman yet. But I will have a meeting with the new chairman in the next few days.
“If we have a conversation we will try and keep it private. It is just to talk about the future.

“You are asking about my future, but the future of the club is more important.

“The fans don’t have any doubt about the commitment and passion we have shown this year. The fans want to know what is going on and I want to know.”

Benitez has criticized the club's current ownership for failing to back the manager in cash for new players.

“The manager has been taking responsibility at this club in the last few years for everything,” he said.

“I don’t know if that’s the way it should be. The last few years it has been the manager’s responsibility all the time.

“We have been trying to do our best for the beginning to the end.

“Now we have to carry on with the Hull game and another four more years of my contract.

“I was talking about speculation in the last two or three weeks and have been reading about a lot of managers in the news, but we cannot keep talking about the speculation.

“We have another game and we have to do our best until the end. We are thinking about doing things for the future.”

Its good that Aquilani can do something on his own, like how Benayoun does at times when he's on fire...at least he's a threat on his own that put midfielders on their toes when he's with or without the ball.

His mobility and forward runs maybe useful for us next season...Maxi too. If they were both playing in the beginning of the season, we can possibly kill off those dull 0-0 draws with small teams we have too much this season...

Wouldn't look too much into it. Could be the media blowing things out of proportion. Not enough was said to substantiate any accusation. It was indeed a 'gift' but he didn't say it was intentional.
