QUOTE(fenzodahl512 @ Apr 27 2010, 10:32 PM) Perhaps I hate manyoo and their fans as much as I love Liverpool.. Honestly I don't think we're gonna get the fourth place.. Hoping Spurs and City will slip with two games remaining is just doesn't feel right.. I don't think we should purposely lose to Chelsea. We should try to win all the remaining games. Maybe it's not for 4th place since I also don't believe it is possible to achieve, but at least for our pride.Got this compilation of some of the greatest games from another website, enjoy! funny how some of you would want to play with 3 defenders when you have reyes and simao of the flanks in your opponent's team. they'll kill you off with pace. oh and talking about this sunday's match, whatever happens, i expect a team good enough to beat chelsea as we are playing in anfield, i dont see how manu winning the 19th title is worst than us losing in anfield and killing all hopes left for the 4th spot. its an evenly balanced double edged sword so just hope for the best for this 2 coming games.

Liverpool's Steven Gerrard Wants To Beat Chelsea Despite Possibility Of Manchester United Title
United are seeking a record 19th Premier League title. By Anthony Sciarrino Apr 26, 2010 7:37:00 PM Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is adamant that he wants to defeat Chelsea on Sunday despite the fact that a victory over the Blues would effectively give Manchester United the Premier League title. Chelsea hold the top spot in the Premier League by one point over United with two games to play and many Anfield supporters do not want to see the Red Devils win their 19th title, which would eclipse the Reds 18 for the most in league history. However, with Liverpool in a close race for the last Champions League spot, Gerrard insists that the team wants to beat Chelsea and attempt to make a miraculous comeback and finish in fourth place. "We've got a couple of games left now and the idea is to take maximum points to see if we can get into fourth through the back door," Gerrard told The Mirror. "If we take maximum points, who knows? The teams above us might slip up. All we have done is keep the pressure on those above us." Despite the concern of Liverpool fans over United winning a fourth consecutive Premier League title, Gerrard insists that the Reds can only worry about themselves, and want to avoid fierce rivals Everton vaulting ahead of them in the standings. "We are underdogs for fourth position, but our fans know that we have also got Everton breathing down our necks and we certainly don't want them finishing above us.” Liverpool had not won an away game in the Premier League this year before a 4-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday. Gerrard scored twice in the victory, and the England international was encouraged with Liverpool’s performance, even if they are not able to get to fourth place. "We won't give up, but it would be stupid of me to say this or that is going to happen. It's important to be realistic. "We haven't been good enough away. When you can't score and you lose your top striker, it can damage belief and affect your confidence, but this was much better." goal.com YNWA |

"Shelvey travelled to Merseyside on Tuesday and has already undergone a medical, with the Merseysiders set to pay an initial £1.7m fee.
The result of Shelvey's medical at Anfield will be revealed on Wednesday. " http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...tic/8647872.stm welcome jonjo!! |
