Maybe Rafa aiming to do like wenger did with Arsenal. Nurture the kids let them build chemistry between each other. Hope in the next 3-4 years, we can see all of these kids replacing the current team.
With all the buying of these kids, it already showed that Rafa will be in Liverpool at least for next season or for a longer period. |

QUOTE Reds to sport new-look shirt This?28th Apr 2010 - Latest News Liverpool will wear Carlsberg on their shirts for the final time at Anfield this weekend - but it'll be with a difference. The Danish brewers' name has adorned the red shirt at every home game over the last eighteen years - but as Carlsberg prepare to sign off as the club's shirt sponsors at the end of the season their name will be displayed in Chinese language for the clash with Chelsea on Sunday afternoon. With Liverpool the only UK city exhibiting at World Expo in Shanghai - its twin city - later this year, Carlsberg officials came up with the novel idea of interacting with the club's massive fan base in that part of the world. Carlsberg Group Sponsorship Director Keld Strudahl said, "We're delighted to have been able to bring about this momentous occasion. We believe it's a nice little gesture to our friends and fans of Liverpool FC in China, where we know the Club devoted huge support in working things out and we also worked hard with all parties to mark this special occasion for the World Expo." In addition to the change on the front of the players' shirts, Chinese messages will be displayed during the match on the perimeter advertising boardings and in the Carlsberg Lounge at Anfield a Chinese competition winner will present a trophy to the "Man of the Match" after the final whistle. The Chinese Carlsberg logo will be only the fifth logo ever printed on a Liverpool FC shirt. Liverpool FC's first sponsor was Hitachi, followed by Crown Paints, Candy and then Carlsberg in 1992. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news...-new-look-shirt http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/brands/0005/1029/brand.gif |

If you guys actually read the article properly, you'd notice that the Atletico players were not disrespectful at all. It's the media leading with provocative and totally misleading headlines. Again.
QUOTE Garcia said: “When Torres is not there, his absence is felt throughout the team.” QUOTE De Gea kept a clean sheet against Liverpool in Spain, where Torres was a spectator. He said: “Liverpool are a great team, but we did our best to unsettle their attack, and it’s rare that they don’t have a shot on goal. Forlan’s goal was very important, but the most important thing is that I kept a clean sheet. “Our defence was very firm, and when you are in goal against such a great team, that’s a big deal. “Everyone from Atletico must give their maximum there to qualify for the next round. “Our fans are very excited, but we are taking it step by step. We have to fight for the fans, to win a title after so many years.” Looking down on us? Disrespectful? Where? |

Yeah I know they didn't directly say we sucked without Torres.
The point is still there - Garcia think we will be very weak (in attack) without Torres. I'd rather be a underdog anyways...so that the opponent wont know what hit them |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Apr 29 2010, 03:19 PM) ATLETICO MADRID: LIVERPOOL IS NOTHING WITHOUT TORRES Remember prior to the Real match at Anfield, Marca had a headline "This is Anfield... So What?". Arbeloa pasted the article on the dressing room and got everybody fired up. The rest was history. Although the title in this is misleading, it'll be good to provide an extra motivation to the players.http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/1...ithout-Torres-/ With Kuyt and Ngog absent, we might just see a front 4 of Babel, Benny, Aquilani/Gerrard and El Zhar (Though I much prefer Gerrard and Benny on the wings while Lucas as CM). Not as strong as having Torres around but certainly not one to underestimate. |

Somehow, yes, the title is misleading but I don't like it either when he said the team kept a cleansheet and that's a big deal.
Anyway, wonder how tonight's lineup gonna be. If babel plays upfront, who is going to play on the left? Benny?Well, Riera is frozen out and it's HIGHLY unlikely Rafa will call him up.If it's benny, then who's on the right? It might turn out Gerrard on the right with Aquilani in the center... Lineup will be something like this? Reina Glenny Carra Krygiakos Agger Masch Gerrard Lucas Benny Aquilani Babel This? This post has been edited by solstice818: Apr 29 2010, 04:24 PM |

This is probably the best lineup Rafa can put in the current squad availability. Gerrard and Benny can switch between left and right wing at times to confuse the opponent (in case they are gonna mark Gerrard).Anyway, wonder how tonight's lineup gonna be.
