anyway, i just wanna know how far my RAM (Corsair VS512MBDDR400 2.5C) can go..just a bit concerned since I already stress it to 444Mhz..

u mean DDR444(222MHz) or 444MHz?

err..i am using regular DDR400 RAM. when I overclocked my FSB to 222Mhz, while i am running FSB:DRAM 1:1..it means the RAM also running @ 222Mhz (cross checked with CPU-Z). translated to DDR rate..logically it is 444 (222Mhz x 2 cycle per clock)...aint that true?

You don't need to worry, it's not like you are pumping excessive voltage right? as long as the RAM is stable and maintain safe voltage, 24/7 stability is just around the corner.
How to determine whether it's stable? run memtest for couple of hours.

i really wished to know where can i tweak the memory divider on Abit KV8Pro..i already flashed the latest BIOS adn still i cant figure out where is it. now, the only way i can tweak is to reduce CPU multiplier...which will automatically set a new FSB:DRAM ratio...

i have a little problem here...

i manage to determine that my max fsb my cpu can handle is 267Mhz@1.7Vcore, 1.6V NB while my RAM can take as much as 222Mhz@2.7Vdimm 3-4-4-8 timing...all the benchmarks passed. so, mathematically, i arranged the overclocking stat to 265x9, mem divider at 11 to max out the CPU. despite the working benchmark earlier (determining MAX cpu FSB and MAX RAM speed), my system failed 3Dmark2003.

is there anything left for me to do?

So I presume you know how to set divider already. The max? try priming/super PI it first after raising the HTT speed. Failing one of the benchmark or PI/ prime indicates that your system is not yet stable. Reduce overclocking and repeat the same procedures again.

just a little boost i might say, but this is only setting i can get Prime95, Sissoft Sandra, 3D mark 2003, super pi stable (sorry i forgot to snap the pic). actually, i want to ask for opinion how to push more. because i get prime95 stable setting @ FSB 267x8, memory divider 11 but crashed in 3d mark 2003. is it as far as i can go?

Yup, that is why some people don't trust prime95 to be the ultimate stability indicator. You have to get everything stable in all environment in order to run all programs. Hmm, you can try another BIOS upgrade or change cooling solution. Else there is not much you can do about it. If you have all the skills in place, next comes luck and money.

I set my ratio to 1:1 (DDR400) and FSB 250MHz and it wont boot. now running at ratio 3:2 @ 181MHz, FSB 250MHz.

KenL, that weird that your proc hit only 250HTT. Everyone here hit 300Htt easily and i personally run it under 2.7ghz for a week before.

Set your
HTT ratio to 3x once you over 250HTT
Your mem timing try run it abit relax for example 7-3-3-2.5 and on 1T. Sempron64 do better on 1T. Up your HTT voltage if you need. Mayb you try 2:1 divider. HTT250 is a nice number and seem sumthing is pulling it back. Your mobo have pci/agp lock?

dam gigabyte onli allow 2.7V max!
my bh-5.....even bt-j oso cant go beyond 200...
running at onli 5:3...
btw anybody experience gigabyte mobo?...up FSB to 330 in Bios
then it successful boot in to window...but cpu-z and cbid show it onli run at default speed
and oso the ram timing tcl can set to 3, cannot boot
onli 2.5
hope they release a nicer bios

err...you mean everybody using Sempron E6 or just everybody? i am curious also since I only manage to reach FSB 250Mhz only. more than that it might be unstable, especially on 3D thingy. i wonder if my RAM is limiting to go further..

oh, btw i am using Clawhammer 2800+ SH-7 C0 stepping. i also read in other forums saying that these C0 stepping is harder to OC.

usually, you can go to BIOS and enter to DRAM setting. I dont know about ASUS but on KV8 Pro, the setting lies under ADVANCED CHIPSET FEATURE>DRAM CONFIGURATION. loose timings (bigger figure sets) usually help to stabilize the RAM (if you figure out that the RAM is the devil which stops you from going on). nevertheless, i read somewhere that you should only go as low as 3-4-4-11.

well, in my case, I manage to reach 267 FSB but at that level, my PC will only be stable in SisSoftSandra and SuperPi (normally, I tested the stability by using those 2+prime95 large FFT and 3dmark03). loosing the timings didn't help..and the memory divider set at 8:12. i have tested that my RAM can go as far as 222mhz (444Mhz DDR). i don't know what's wrong..

btw you have to be sure that AGP:PCI freq is maintained around 66:33 (67:33 is acceptable)...else you might corrupt you hdd...and fry your add on cards.

I just tried, auto restarted at 270Mhz, even 265Mhz. Now running on 260Mhz. ratio set to 3:2 (DRam to CPU ratio). There are settings for timings, but they all are greyed out.hmm. Where can I check the AGP:PCI ratio? I'm still not sure if it's locked or not.
