KenL, try find the agp clock option. And set it to 67. And wat HDD u using? PATA or sata? u try plug off you HDD and c how high u can go in bios. Mayb ur PCI not lock that y u stuck at 260. When i test your proc, it straight jump to 300HTT on 1st trial no error. My testrig is very simple, only ram gpu proc and hdd. No cdrom n other stuff.

revving towards 10,000 rpm
|
if you lock your AGP, you PCI will be locked together also because PCI is running on divider, half of the AGP speed

QUOTE(KenL @ Sep 17 2005, 12:50 AM) strange enough, there's no setting for agp clock either. It's not strange as the mobo don't have that option. The "Achilles Heel" is perhaps the lack of AGP/PCI lock. So overclocking headroom is going to be limited. QUOTE Due to the lack of PCI/AGP lock, we only managed to overclock the board to 221MHz at standard voltage settings. Unfortunately, it's dismal to see such enthusiast friendly boards take the backseat due to chipset limitations. What good are the rest of the BIOS settings when you can't overclock the system? Then again, you could try to get the best stock performance out of the board. Like the majority of the KT800 boards in the market, this, too, isn't a appealing choice to die-hard overclockers in the market, but this should be expected from KT800 chipset at this point. http://www.cooltechzone.com/index.php?opti...=1&limitstart=3

Getting Started

|
after doing the overclocking...i noticed my PWM (Pulse Width Modulator..err i am not sure) temp increased drastically. i even detected it went as high as 59C. though i checked the temp limit to be 85C.
because from the PWM chips from older mobos are cooled with heatsinks..i even noticed the PWM chips (in amplifiers and PSU) are attached to the heatsinks.

is it possible that my bottleneck is caused by a 350 Watt capalang PSU?

Jack up the vcore to 1.65v and see whether it can do wonders. it believe d chip itself is gud, but d components i have at this moment are not up to d task: an nf3 mobo, not top of d line psu and most importantly -> not so skillful owner... i'm not so satisfied w/ my cooling as well, full load @ >50'C is really dissapointing...

I'm not telling you to run prime, just a SuperPI run wouldn't hurt much right? My winnie does wonder at 1.65v running 2.7Ghz 24/7 on a 425W HEC. Perhaps just for a moment wouldn't be damaging at all. However it's yours not mine. Perhaps I've never being too careful with my stuffs.
