Any improvement for CM 5.0.7-N1-T2 over CM 5.0.6-N1? I'm planning to flash in tonight.
*
Even thought CM 5.0.7-N1-T2 still under testing, but I am pretty sure it is far better than CM 5.0.6-N1.

New features in CM 5.0.7-N1-T2:
- Turn Over Silent (need reboot once tick), this feature silent your incoming call when you flipping the phone. Damn cool!
- Scrolling is slick smooth.
- Default launcher2 is smoother a lot compare with CM 5.0.6-N1. (I found out it seems smoother than HelixLauncher2 v0.7 but I need this and using it)
- Blend the trackball light when multiple notifications. (I send a sms, unread and miss call, but I didn't seen any blending color of trackball yet, need more testing)
- Fixing the CM 5.0.7-N1-T1 Gallery bugs, now working perfectly when rotating the gallery, no longer auto switch back to gallery main page.

** Running perfectly with Pershoot Kernel 2.6.33.4 – OC-UV-XTRA-BTN-AUD-RAM-NEON_FP (1.13GHZ)

bro andrew, do u know what is the different between the one with xtra and without???

boot-cm_2633.4-oc-uv-btn-aud-ram-vfp_fp-051210.zip
boot-cm_2633.4-oc-uv-xtra-btn-aud-ram-vfp_fp-051210.zip

normally which one u use?
*
Normally I choose the xtra one as I notice xtra one seems better and smoother.

xtra - more cgroup options (debug disabled), namespaces support (excluding network), deadline i/o scheduler, v4 block device + data integrity support, 3d register driver, & 3 erratas applied.

may i know any different if buying using redirect way compare with ap set locally??? actually any benefit or not in terms of waranty claim in future or any advantage or disadvantage?  hmm.gif

I usually help to send back if customers got problem with their phone. Currently only one unit that has perpetual restart problem. And for US stock, they have cross shipping policy, which they send you a new one but charge your credit card. Once they got the problematic one, they will verified it's covered by warranty and refund the charge.

Nexus you will not be getting a local authorized retail set as Google had yet to put Msia as their country of sale. When ?? Nobody really know - possibly earliest 6 months to a year ??
So your choice and most convenient is get a AP set which most probably is from Spore or HK. The seller who sells to you must be able to accept your return for claims and I believe he will send it back to his source for service. I do note some sellers in this forum will not provide this service - then you are on your own - in such case better get a set whose source is from Spore
If you are thinking of having your Nexus to be able to download paid apps you must root it. After root - no more warranty

oon thanks! now i know why need to root.. so if dl paid apps, mean paid using credit card to buy it??? hmm.gif

Any of you guys use a Bluetooth handfree and would recommend it to a fellow Nexus One user ?

I wonder if those cheap ones will work flawlessly. Or if those Nokia or Sony Ericsson ones would work for Nexus One.

Guys, need some input on this.

As Malaysia is not in the list of Google - you have to "trick" the Google server to accept Malaysian credit card. It is a very easy process - first you need to root your phone. Setup an account at Google checkout on your PC and key in all Msian CC details.

On your phone Download Market Enabler a free app. Run the app and Google server will recognize your phone as a ATT phone ( if you have chosen ATT ). When you run Market program , the free and paid apps will appear together. Select any paid app - it will auto check your CC account and download will follow - all this takes usually less than 30 secs and you have a new app in your phone

Good Day Bro

FYI, I have just bought my N1 and its going to be 1 Month. Apart from to ability to download Paid Apps, what are other benefits that we get from rooting our phone and is it advisable to root our phone. If yes, there are many type of ROM and Kernel available, please advise the best for Nexus One. A link to a step by step tutorial will be appreciated.

Finally, after rooting the phone, will I be able to update to the latest firmware (Android), let say Froyo 2.2? Will there be any notification to update when I'm online?

Hoping for some good detailed answer on this smile.gif

Oh and another reason for rooting is that you can install apps to your sdcard rather the phone's internal memory.

I will still wait for someone to reply on the above before proceeding to root my Nexus..

Meantime, My Nexus is using Build ERE27, so which superboot version should I download between the 2 below. Please advise himem pros and cons too if possible
Superboot for ERE27 - DOWNLOAD - MD5: 19d302e1bcb18932f009d2a36a3d688f
Superboot for ERE27 with himem enabled - DOWNLOAD - MD5: 96a33732400d08888c605557c849ec61

Which is the best ROM
http://theunlockr.com/downloads/android-do...-one-roms/#menu

And I have been looking that most of the user prefer Cynogen Custom ROM. But I can only get
Cyanogenmod For Nexus One V5.0.6 (04/15/2010), but not the updated CM 5.0.7-N1-T2 as stated here. So, any advise on this?

Is there anymore steps to be done to make nexus a better phone?
