Desire or N1?? Dillemma.
I will goes for N1 because I like to tweak thing up. N1 can be rooted easily. Also there is a recovery mode that are fail safe to flash to many custom ROMs including Desire ROM. Beside that, also many custom Kernel that make N1 perform better. |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ May 13 2010, 11:47 PM) Even thought CM 5.0.7-N1-T2 still under testing, but I am pretty sure it is far better than CM 5.0.6-N1. I flashed CM 5.0.7-N1-T2 with Pershoot Kernel ady. Not bad..very smooth. Still havent notice any bug yet. App2SD work out of box. I didnt even need to wipe data/cache with upgrade from CM5.0.6 New features in CM 5.0.7-N1-T2: - Turn Over Silent (need reboot once tick), this feature silent your incoming call when you flipping the phone. Damn cool! - Scrolling is slick smooth. - Default launcher2 is smoother a lot compare with CM 5.0.6-N1. (I found out it seems smoother than HelixLauncher2 v0.7 but I need this and using it) - Blend the trackball light when multiple notifications. (I send a sms, unread and miss call, but I didn't seen any blending color of trackball yet, need more testing) - Fixing the CM 5.0.7-N1-T1 Gallery bugs, now working perfectly when rotating the gallery, no longer auto switch back to gallery main page. ** Running perfectly with Pershoot Kernel 2.6.33.4 – OC-UV-XTRA-BTN-AUD-RAM-NEON_FP (1.13GHZ) Added on May 13, 2010, 11:51 pm Normally I choose the xtra one as I notice xtra one seems better and smoother. xtra - more cgroup options (debug disabled), namespaces support (excluding network), deadline i/o scheduler, v4 block device + data integrity support, 3d register driver, & 3 erratas applied. |

I think Nexus still had an edge over desire in term of OS support.
Also, since Desire Kernel is officially out now from HTC. More and more Desire rom will ported to Nexus. Also if your Nexus is rooted and flash to CM, you get wifi N too... Desire still dont have becoz turn off by HTC. For the FM radio part, I bet those rom developer will cook up custom rom that enable it as well. The future is more bright in term of OS support for Nexus. |

QUOTE(Cryptic @ May 16 2010, 10:49 AM) what the... i just ordered mine 16gb kingston 10mbps for 360! paid liaw =( For Flash to different ROM, It is better you wipe before flash. This is to prevent any boot cycle when first noot up.anyway, guys i finally flashed my CM v5.06 (enjoying it like hell!), now i wanna flash Modaco's custom ROM, do i have to wipe? if i wipe wouldn't all my apps go away too? is there anyway i can move my apps to my SD card? and yes i rooted my phone... and is there a way we can enjoy paid market apps? For app on SDcard, do U have App2SD installed and enable? If yes, You can go to Settings -> Applications ->Manage Applications -> Click any app U want to keep at SDcard -> click move For paid app, you can install Market Enable or Market Access. QUOTE(davidwyl @ May 18 2010, 05:32 PM) thinking of trying out CM 5.0.7, Have U enable App2SD yet?can i know how u all update it?? using recovery way? how can i backup all my apps so that it will work on my new CM5.0.7? im using 5.0.6-n1 now. really worry all the apps will be gone... anyone can advise? If yes, just move apps that U want to keep to SDcard. Then boot into recovery, nandroid backup, wipe data/cache, flash from SDcard, After finish, reboot, nandroid restore. Boot into New CM5.0.7 Yr app should be in tact. |

QUOTE(davidwyl @ May 18 2010, 05:57 PM) thanks for the reply. No need. as long as U move your apps to SDcard.i do have app2sd. basically i just nanroid backup, after that flash to CM5.0.7. and restore back the nanroid...????? so i dont need any others backup apps, rite? Just back up before flash, Restore after flash. (this step is actually optional) |
