My advice, be safe than sorry tongue.gif
Maxis is well known for simply billing and as you can see some of the iphone user been reported that they were charged as high as RM 250 tongue.gif
*
Exactly. I almost wanted to get the Desire from Maxis until i stumbled upon the DiGi88 plan and the unlimited data transfer is what i really need. After hearing stories about people getting overcharged by Maxis when data limit is exceeded, or at least, Maxis "claimed" they have exceeded it. At least with DiGi, i dont have to worry much about it smile.gif

i'm not worry about the sudden pop up of over limit coz my limit is high... and i quite convince that myself will not use up to that much of data also coz my office and house also got wifi... i think 1G should be ok...

yupe those apps need to be aware. Last time I have same issue with Celcom. Suddenly my bill soo high on data usage. Until now dot know why. Lucky Celcom do refund after comparing with my other months bill. But they said the bill is valid and need to check your phone. That time I am using Omnia 2.

i don need unlimited data... but 1g should be enough... i also scare i'll be over the limit too much also... so very 'fan' now...
i need to check my company email during i'm out of office from 9~5... so i can follow up my task closely... that is my problem now, i go out around 10am then suddenly my counter part send a mail at 11am to ask for help to verify something at customer site and he need it urgently so he sent all info in the mail already... but i could not read it on the go so i need a phone which support it and a reasonable data plan to cover this also...
my fren and customer which has iphone or others like bb/android/wm6.5/s60 tell me 500mb is enough already but i'm no that convincing lo... monthly subscription $$$ is important but network coverage is more important, so now duno stick to maxis or switch to digi... sad.gif
*
If you are concerned bout coverage, i think u better stick to maxis. I switched and took the plan and now just started new job down at an industrial area in Klang.. the coverage is shit! I call up CS and they say u try using other phone which was the same situation, in office no line most of the time.. only when i'm outside having some "oxygen" the signal is there. Even then its abit jumpy.

Told the cs pls la dont give the sop answers to this crap and she told me she filed this to technical dept... they tried calling after 2days but couldnt reach coz due to obvious reason and i called back but line got cut off as i drove up a gradient and the line got cut off. CS called back and asked if there is another number that i can be contacted at and i couldnt remember the company mobile no asked her to call back in 10minutes and til today no one called... damm best la Digi cs support!

Also, I'm quite pissed at the switch of bonus points to darn BonusLink points..

I don't have issues with coverage but can't help but LOL @ warwick's story.

I complained to Digi about 600 + points expiring even when it didn't show any due to expire on the website.

When I contacted them to complain, the rep said "technical will check and call you". I then asked for a reference number so I wouldn't have to repeat everything if they didn't call.

"No need reference, I assure you they will call."

I was, I am ashamed to admit, stupid enough to believe her.

tongue.gif LOL all you want dude, its quite the frustrating man... no facebook/youtube/games review in office whistling.gif plus the fact I told her that the company USED to have corporate lines with Digi and have switched coz of the coverage area, imagine this at the company i'm working at already lost quite a number of business there, just guess how many more neighbouring companies at my location digi will lose out more to teh competitors.

BonusLink being forfeited is here, actually, under FAQ:
http://www.digi.com.my/rewards/bl.do?sec=faq

...If you don't register by 25 August, your balance of DiGi Bonus Pointsā„¢ will be forfeited.

Anyway, if you have coverage issue in a particular area, you can always highlight this to me via PM with your contact number and exact address of the location.

I'll be able to liaise directly with the coverage guys.

I'll have to admit, DiGi isn't perfect. I guess we can always charge for exceeding data quota to get more $$$ to invest in infrastructure... sad.gif

My points weren't forfeited, they "expired" despite no indication of such in the OCS.

But the points, though not inconsequential, were not worth having to go thru the exasperation of dealing with the customer service reps over again.

Maybe Digi can charge more for data overruns so they can hire better people too.

Or, simply just get the existing reps to do what they promise customers they would do, that shouldn't cost Digi any extra wink.gif

I have called up CS yesterday to voice my issue up again... I understand all aint perfect but look at competitor's CS structure, they do follow up on issues and on Digi's part its like its almost non existence. Well anyways I'm just nit picking on small issues but aint small issues the most important tongue.gif

Sweetpuff, I do hope all these feedback you would be able to do something about it and bring Digi up to the next level

It will be their undoing.
Maxis will reap the iPhone and the iPad market 1st, leave the balance to DiGi.
Therefore, less profit for DiGi to upgrade most of their essential needs.
