If you want to get a taste of Men of War without breaking out the bank, might I suggest picking up Soldiers: Heroes of World War 2 instead from TSB (RM30).

Its the first prequel to Men of War (Men of War is actually the 2nd sequel to Soldiers... The first sequel is Faces of War) and has roughly the same ideas but is smaller in scale and scope. So, if you like it, then Men of War should be right up your alley.

Yes, thx for the heads up! After looking it up, its vaguely familiar to me. I seem to remember going thru this or maybe Faces of war... terrible control/AI at that time maybe. I might consider picking up Soldiers tho steam is having it at USD4.99!!! or if lazy i guess i can get it at TSB. Steam says release at 2004 while TSB 2008 lol.

I didn't like Faces of War at all... It seemed to branch out more from Soldiers, but they half-arsed it a bit. Heard they fixed most of that crap with Men of War though but I have yet to try it.

Anyway, TSB's Soldiers is the repackaged value one, that's why its 2008

Men of War is only $15, and there's an official mod made by the devs of faces of war that ports all the faces of war missions to MoW.

Save your money and just get MoW. Assault Squad is standalone multiplayer focused. You can buy it when it releases. The Faces Of War mission Pack is a mod made by the devs. It is available for anyone who has MoW for free. Info on the steam forums.

I'd prolly just get Soldiers and wait for MoW sales.. tahan a bit hahaha. I don't want to be buying MoW then red tide.. then discount come up ..urgh! Sooner or later i'd get it.. for now it's best i don't go on a spending splurge if i can help it hehe.
