True, but nothing stops me from dreaming that it will be on sale.

It didnt do very well, apparently. 2-3k on Steam stats and we are talking about a Steam only game. DoW2 and E:TW have like 7-10k almost everyday.
*
I blame half-assed change between SupCom1 and normal RTS.
They didnt dare to either stick to previous SupCom1 formula or completely switch to the old RTS way.

I also read the story is very very bland and the multi consist mostly of air spam (though they are trying to nerf it)

Disappointment, I has it.

Not sure I will buy it at all personally, depends if I ever get into a lack of new games

I wait for offer la, maybe can get 7.99 again
*
I think I will wait for offer too, I paid the vanilla game 10usd during sales (if I remember fine) so don't really feel like paying 30 (or 24) usd for the xpacs.

I can wait, I have not finished all the games I bought during last Xmas sales anyway ^^

Holy cow I tried that beat hazard demo too (33Mb, no biggie).

Woaw, I am blinking quite a lot trying to get rid of the colors now

But it's fun to put your own music in it, definitely would not use some slow tunes but I tried with some of the groovy David Guetta or Safri Duo and it was pretty nice.

For fun I tried some Euro-mix crazy stuff and almost made my eyes bleed tongue.gif

Seriously, the new UI looks way and performed way better than the old ones.
*
It's not bad and shiny, just a little too cluttered on some screens for my taste.
Or I just need to get more used to it.

It's more that there is lot of info on some of the pages that I don't really give a crap about, like the number of Steam users currently connected on the Store page, the "join our twitter/facebook/etc" add

To have the Interface becomes a real "Portal" where you can choose which info you want to show or not would be good

I would really really be surprised such recent and popular game will be on sale so soon.

Come back after summer or something to have chance for that in my opinion...

the X3 games need a flight control joystick to full enjoice, yes? no? or keyboard + mouse suffice.
*
I actually would like to know that too, I don't have joystick either tongue.gif

From what I know of the games the fighting is not super complicated through so maybe keyboard/mouse is enough.

It's mainly a Privateer type of game where you are more or less free to do anything you want from commerce, fighting.
Looks like lots of management and all.
Economy system seems to be very complex, like Eve without the other players input.

From what I see the economy/management part of the game is very important and you will spend more time in the menus than in the space simulator side of it.

Think I might get it, price is reasonable, just not sure I will get the Gold or just Terran Conflict which is the last one.
From comments on some places Terran Conflict is the "culmination" of the serie so far and the previous don't really have stuff that is not inside TC.

But its only 5 bucks more.... hum.... decisions...

Wow they will lock your account when you buy any legion locked games?
*
No, that's not exactly how I understand the email

They will locked your account if you try unsuccessfully and multiple times to buy region locked account.

It's kind of basic banking procedure really, in case your credit card got stolen and someone try to use it too much online.

Hum, I don't really like/care about racing games but that's indeed a pretty good deal for those who do!

These games are not "that" old for the price

I'm finally back gaming after a 5-year hiatus. Installed Steam a few days ago and re-downloaded all my old games. Looks like I missed a few sweet deals. May I ask, does Steam notify you of all new deals? Exactly where do you go to to see all the current deals?
*
To see current Deal there is a "Specials" tab on the main Steam store page.
There are some popups for the new deals/release but sometimes they come out a bit "late" for me (ie they do not show up when Steam starts with my pc, but only on some manual restart, not sure why).

Yar, I was lucky I was in EU for Xmas sales so could buy the Civ4 bundle at that time.

Quite weird really it's not available back in Asia (same here in China, Civ5 can, Civ4 cannot...)

The offer is available in Australia too.

Why Malaysia doesnt have this offer?
*
That's what we wondering too ^^

Seems only Civ5 is available in Asia, Civ4 and co are not, which is a bit silly really

Woaw... 17%!

Now that's ridiculous move... just to say it's more than the 15% sales few weeks back...

Come on, make it at least 20 or 25%....

17% makes it a "round" numbers but still, it does seems a bit silly...

all these feedback about older games not compatible with win 7 64 bit etc ...
makes me feel like wanna have 2 gaming rigs.

new rig win 7 64 bit for new gamers
old rig xp 32 bit for old games.
win!
*
I use Vista 64 and I have a Win98 virtual machine (via VirtualPC) for very old games/DOS ones (some would not even work on XP for example)

Works very well.

As Grif said, you could just use a WinXP Virtual Machine, just need to be careful about the overhead in resource needed to run a Virtual image if it's a resource-hungry game.

How to use debit card to purchase from US store? Can I do it like this?  hmm.gif

1) Select game in http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=us and put it as gift for my main account.
2) Alter the billing address to a fake US address

FYI, I will just put enough money in the account to do the transaction. If kena ban also wont be so hurt  tongue.gif
*
Nope since they will detect your computer is not in US.

You would need to use a proxy for that to work
