From what I understand, let's say I am taking the 4mbs package .. I will be paying RM88 monthly for 2 years and I will be getting the netbook for free right?

What it means by we are paying for the netbook?

We pay for the netbook. It's is not free.
TM monopoly the market doesnt mean they can do watever they wan, delay watever they wan. there is forumer said the target is 100k netbook to be given out, but there are only 20k netbook successful given to students. Think deeply, why it's only 20k? Because there are still a lot of application still havent processed! I believe there are more than 20k ppl applied for it and many of them still waiting, waiting , waiting .... like u guys here.

ya, we have only one TM, what to do? so, if they suddenly cancel the package tomorrow, we also cant do anything.

ya, monthly pay including the netbook installment, that'y we hav the 2 years contract period. after 2 years means u've finished the installment.
Many ppl misunderstood that the netbook is free. in fact, it's not!
even though we pay only 1 cent, we have to right to ask them to process the thing faster.

Basically the netbook is bundled in for free la.... you pay internet last time you get nothing also. His just a whiner.....

true, even 3yrs also nvm.. streamyx is still ok for me , the problems i encountered so far are only the application process...connection so far so good

I am using RM88 now and the speed I get is 1.5mpbs.

Now I got a chance to pay RM88 getting 4 mbps and at the same time getting free netbook. Period.

hey... i have some questions here..

1) i heard there's a 1 month suspension if i terminate my current streamyx connection(1mbps,rm88), izzit true coz the girl at tmpoint actually told me that it will oni take 3-7 days for me to get my new connection.. my current streamyx connection is no longer under contract..

2)IGNORE THIS QUESTION IF THERE R NO SUSPENSION... can i change my house telephone number(not pulling a new line) to avoid the suspension?

As far as I concerned this package is subsidize by Government. You think you can get Rm88 For 4 mbps , let's put that you cant get full speed aside.
Of course nothing is totally free. You get a free netbook in return you sign a 2 years contract. But you still enjoy the lowest rate where other cannot enjoy.

actually some forumers explained the same thing (we pay for the netbook) previously ... but seems like ppl still don get it.

assume that Rm38 *24months = Rm912 , it still cheaper than market price ... this time u win ! enuf d..dont think that we are idiot and failed in SPM maths... stop arguing about this
