@stringfellow,
I hope we don't haf to go through the same "heart attack" but you're usually more kan cheong than I am so hehehhehe we'll see where the opportunities are for 2010 smile.gif

Hmm.. no commitment USD699 - but that doesn't translate to the phone being "unlocked"!
*
American (in fact all the 5 first wave countries) iPhones are locked. Reason that table and its content is posted is because that pricetag is used as a datum to gauge the expected price. The same pricetag was stickered on the 3G[S] last time, so expect the same pricetag this time. The only variable here is the currency exchange. Pray AUD drops in value come July. tongue.gif

Just curious,

You guys in Malaysia, would you prefer to pay a premium & get a US/HK/SG set (non warranty), or rather wait for Maxis/Digi/Celcom set to release (with warranty)?
*
After my experience with Iphone 2g.. i rather wait for local provider to release it (with warranty)
The phone is just too expensive to mess around without the warranty..
Some more since im a postpaid customer as well,so i will save a bit from it

@panasonic88,
Lol. I've been using a non Malaysian set since my 1st iPhone. 1st set was from NZ. 2nd was from AU. 3rd is from MY because a cousin wanted the iPhone so I gave him mine and got the MY one since he couldn't wait for it tongue.gif hence I've no problems getting an overseas set; thing is finding people to ship it back and keeping fingers crossed on warranties smile.gif

The thing about the MY sets are that it comes into the country too damn late + it's tied to some stewpid plan! tongue.gif

@stringfellow,
There must be some other tinkerbel around I don't know of who's being so generous tongue.gif

Singapore is just few hours away from here dude. If really tak sabar, then just drop by there and get one. Shorter warranty distance compare to Europe country.

It's better for a telco competing for a better cheaper price...benefit us.. if they agree to selling same price..that's is gonna be dilemma to choose.
*
Lol they won't want to go all out for a price war... it does benefit us but it reduces their profit...

There are really lots of changes compared to 3Gs... though I feel that the new design resembles those in the market a lot... no classy feel

I rather wait for Malaysia set release since we are almost paying the same figure. Unless you're filthy rich then I've no comment.

About the pricing, don't have to worry about it. It won't be more expensive than last year iPhone 3GS. About iPhone 3GS 2nd hand value won't drop so badly just because there is new iPhone 3GS for $99, but that's 8gb version.

Is now worth to take iPhone 4 32gb since is almost future proof and telco technology still have a long way to take us to the next generation. Lucky my investment on 16Gb is good since during that time, features still lack.

iPhone took the world Market by storm due to the fact of trully user friendly and APPS! who does use the phone with lots of apps? Yet I'm still dissapointed with apple not supporting Flash.

"Finally, Zygna announced that it will be bringing its Farmville virtual farming game to the iPhone and iPod touch, with touch screen-based controls, the ability to visit Facebook friends’ farms, and an in-app store. It will be released by the end of this month. " icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes, Zynga did announce they would release farmville for the iPhone. Not necessarily playable only on the iPhone 4. I am sure the previous iPhones/iTouches would still be able to handle the game.
