QUOTE(freestyler87 @ Jun 8 2010, 10:42 PM) Chuppy @ try not using Excel see how... im trying to know what is the problem will caused BBA come... and my glosso keep on melting.... How did you end up with excessive phosphorous? Overfeeding / overstocking? And pH value of 4? That's really low. Maybe glosso can't take it. What's your setup like? Including fauna and temp. Or did you introduce any new plants or rocks lately?

Causes of BBA,
Imbalance c02 output.. ( unstable also would make BBA come )( I find this to play the most crucial point for BBA - pump in as much as you can without killing your fauna)
Plainly bad water quality... =overdose or food, ferts or anything. To overdose is killer.
poor maintenance regime
badly maintained canister filter.
Fix all this and the BBA will go away slowly and naturally. Tried , tested, and proven in my own tanks. Hmm, those steps sounds like a general rule to all algae anyway. but....
Feel FREE TO CORRECT ME - was just suggesting an effective method of getting rid of them. (excel)
========
P/s, this info can easily be found over GOOGLE.
Freestyler = still want to freestyle or finally get into track? LOL. Glosso melting means bad environment provided not enough light, c02 provided maybe?, hence melting causes imbalance in certain water qualities, hence leading to algae outbreak.
Cheers. Drew

well, dont know that stupid Sera PH tester can use one or not.. anyway i did not feed anything to the fish at all.. i only have 2 oto and 5 cherry + 1 tiger + 2 Yamato.. but the cherry keep on dying one by one.. no idea why every time i buy 10 cherry or shrimp they sure die one by one after one week no more dead shrimp... means all of them are survivor.. but introduce new shrimp again sure die one by one again =.= i did not add any flora or wood or rock at all...

Sarawak have chloramine apparently. http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?sec=s...sarawak/6047213So I'll assume Klang Valley would have it. Better be safe than sorry. If you have other shrimps in the tank, I won't advice it. Ghost shrimps are too aggressive to be kept with smaller shrimps. This post has been edited by SweetPuff: Jun 10 2010, 09:40 AM

ive kept ghost shrimps(big females) wif smaller rcs b4 and there has been no problem at all. The only problem is thatthey will sometimes snack on my guppy fry but its very rare for this to happen.
