No nitrogen and phosphorus? sure?
Aiya.. We have been repeating the theory on algae's appearance.. DOSE too much, not enough c02 and light.. ALGAE COME Dont dose at all, a lot of light, no c02... ALGAE COME.. Dose adequately, a lot og c02, not much light.. also ALGAE COME.. Strike a balance between the 3 and you would have MINIMAL algae.. Why? So we can let our plants to grow at optimum strength so no excess nutrients for the algae to feed on.. Drew |

like that ma no brain hahahah.
I already said the conclusion ma.. =.= read please.. I won't spoon feed. ::Simple conclusion:: Provide all the necessaries for your plant to grow at it's best ( c02 light fert) and your plant will grow healthily.. when that happens, algae will be minimal.. so to overdose is not a wise decision as well. waa foxngn, off shoe flash ka? hehehe.. Can see the glow on your leaf...
Putting aquarium inside room bad fengshui theory.. It disrupts your sleep. Sound of water flowing is not healthy to the 'soul' .. Or in this case, usually is the vibration of the filters and air pumps LOL.. Regards |

Plant melt bcause temperature spike..
heat coming from an extra large impeller magnet running in that big filter ( heat issues noticable in cheapo canisters when compared to branded ones ) Also, I believe you toned down the canister by adjusting the nozzle right? that adds stress to the impeller + magnet hence more heat.. Cloudy most probably, Bacteria bloom .. New media?? Hope this helps Andrew Added on April 4, 2010, 4:44 pm QUOTE(michanz @ Apr 4 2010, 03:12 PM) the link i give u.. read it all.. very good information there.. got everything.. fertilisation maintenance and everything... good guideline for new ppl tostart Oik, can I tag copyright ka Mic hahahaha!!!!!!Suddenly see my APC thread and pics here LOL!! ========= What works for me MIGHT NOT WORK FOR YOU. keep in mind. Err didnt spend much on the 'ferts' lol..
In marine its not ferts liao.. its much more of micro foods , macro foods, zooplex etc. chemicals like strontrium, magnesium, calcium, iodine.. gotta maintain gh/kh, calcium, pH well, and most importantly.. NO copper haha.. First 3 months for that tank was bumpy.. 4th months onwards, my water change regime is 30% every 3 months LOL!!! Andrew |
