QUOTE(Adremier @ Jun 4 2010, 12:09 PM)
- my shrimp keep dying..
- Already use the air pump to aerate it.
- result is better that not using it, but the shrimp is still dying..
- i did water top off everyday because of the fan and do 20% water change every 2 days..
- i also didn't user any fert.
- but still the shrimp is dying.
- im using filtered tab water..
- average temp is about 28C to 27C
- it is because of the copper in the tap water that cause this?

I suspect it could be the same with me. Coz our pipes have a large amount of rust. That's why I use the Seachem Copper/Heavy Metal absorber in a filter. Also, how do you place your canister's outlet? If you place it slightly above water level, you can get lots of surface agitation, which means more oxygen.

If you're using amazonia soil, pH should be about 6.5.

To me, nothing is more annoying in planted tank than getting algae on my moss.

There's a Stiphodon species of fish that eats bba, apparently. I have 2 in my 3ft planted tank. Seems to be working so far. Quite cute too.

BBA is hard? BBA is the easiest algae to get rid of. Try hair algae. a bigger pain..

The setup for the jellyfish looks like freshwater though. I forgot to ask... distracted by the african filter shrimp.
