nope, the BG dun have command dial, as there's no pins to link to cam to utilize the function
the shutter button works by linking with wire to the remote control port, but the port doe not allow command dial function

haha i thought 17-55 2.8

yea after i try the 80-200 f2.8, i know its just quite hard to use the lens without the VR
same thing applies to the sigma 70-200 and the tamron 70-200.
well eventually zacks is getting close to his dream lens and gears hopefully

for the close range length,i got the d90 kit lens..that oso have VR..Thus,i've change my mind bout the 17-55..better directly go for 70-200 nikkor...70-200 for d300 body,d90+kit lens on the other hand..

What lens are you planning to get, but cannot be used on D40?

50mm f/1.8D? 50mm f/1.4D? Tokina 11-16?

only cheap lens that u can save is 50mm f1.8 / f 1.4
all the other nikkor are all expensive smile.gif
this is 1 expensive hobby to talk about saving money.
Most would end up try not to invest so much money .
Upgrading option is almost endless, so many lens to buy
and new models coming out with better function to lure u for another $$$$ upgrades

if u understand what i m trying to say rolleyes.gif

Upgrading to D90 not all about the focus motor la, it offer more value in terms of ISO performance, commander mode to trigger wireless flash, bigger body for better gripping, better control (more shortcut button and top screen), and the lists go on.
