Nexus One VS N900?

Not sure why it can't find your device? Are you using Windows 7?
Can you connect succesfully to PC Suite? If yes, try closing all other Nokia application, like PC Suite, OVI Suite, etc.
Then start Nokia Software Updater and re-try again. Not sure if it is because Windows 7 or not too.

Also make sure you charge your phone at least more than 50%. If the battery is low, it will not re-install.

Try to find out other reasons why it can't detect your N900, as I remember previously when you tried to update the Nokia Map, you also have problem detecting the N900 right?

If all else fail, below should work, but it's quite a complicated process especially if it's our first time:

FM transmitter still works even though HK models do not have the hardware.
Faster. Though this could be due to the reflash..
No stuttering while recording video
currently skype video chat seems to be still disabled

downloading Nokia N900 Firmware 1.2 throught megaupload,and within 10 minutes it's going to complete....just flash it like how we used to hard reset???
