QUOTE(aiyish @ Apr 20 2010, 04:14 PM) open phone/dailer, tap the phone setting on top, then select turning control, then check the launch by turning option. by doing this, u can just bring up the phone/dailer by turning ur n900 vertically.....cool...another trick....how to enable portrait mode in n900 browser.... QUOTE The PR 1.1 firmware update brings portrait mode web browsing to the N900. In order to enable auto switching between landscape and portrait when the phone is turned hit Ctrl + Shift + O on the N900’s keyboard. The next time you tilt your N900 to portrait, the web browser will automatically switch as well. You can turn this behavior off by hitting Ctrl + Shift + O again. QUOTE(FishnChipx @ Apr 21 2010, 11:30 AM) how to know which apps is optified or not ? sowee...noob here >.<" Added on April 21, 2010, 12:01 pmo shyt.. my on screen keyboard missing zor..even i tick and untick the soft keyboard at the setting there but still dun have =.=" QUOTE Applications in Maemo are broadly categorised into three sections. Extras, Extras-Testing and Extras-Devel. Extras house those applications that are ready for all users, Extras-Testing houses applications which are not yet ready for normal users and are in a sort of beta. Extras-Devel is the place where applications reside when they are in the alpha mode and definitely not ready for the average consumer. SOS This post has been edited by kfthoo: Apr 21 2010, 12:14 PM |

that's way sometime it's good to have relatively 'clean' device, so that it can perform as it should be....

put it this way, any application which may need single handed operation....portrait mode is the best option coz it's easier to hold the phone in that manner....anything other than that, landscape mode can provide the best viewing aspect and typing with 2 hands is faster.....that's my 2 cents....
