to kucingfight: Nice review from you, althought myself didnt do the testing phase. But i prefer to study from the 'pro' smile.gif

about the keyboard, yeah its feel normal at least not the best feeling when we use touch it and use it. and about the audio, i think its really quite nice after using for awhile now. no problem so far and i personally feel that it can produce much higher volumn than 14.1 inch. smile.gif and the last time we can view 720hd without any problem biggrin.gif love the display so much

Guys, I'm planning to get another few units of laptops.

If you were me, would you choose the Aspire 5745G or Dell Vostro?

Assuming that the Vostro configuration is this:

*PROCESSOR Intel® Core™ i5 430M (2.26GHz base, up to 2.53GHz, 2C/4T, 3MB L3)
OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows® 7 Professional 64bit (English)
SECURITY SOFTWARE TREND MICRO™ INTERNET SECURITY (English)-24 months
DISPLAY 17.3” High Definition+ (1600x900) Wide LED Anti-Glare Display
MEMORY 4GB (2X2G) DDR3-1066MHz SDRAM, 2 DIMM
HARD DRIVE 320GB Hard Drive, 7200 RPM
VIDEO CARD Vostro 3700 Nvidia® Geforce™ GT 330M, 1GB Graphics

For the total of RM 3,175.00

Aspire 5745G has
i7 720QM
4GB DDR3
500GB HDD
15.6" HD LED
GT330M
HomePrem x64

Cost: RM 3,680

I already bought two units of Aspire 5745G, I find it satisfying but maybe Dell have better quality perhaps? =)

my only advise is very simple..whats ur purpose of a laptop? if u don mind 17.3", do giv a try. 17" is definitely less portable

in tat case, i would assume that portability is not the priority.
since u've mentioned the purpose, i think the dell would be suitable.

I wonder whether this is my own problem or not, but this few days i noticed quite a lot of colourful dots on the screen there. Anyone noticed that yet? i updates the nvidia drivers to the latest and i noticed even more colourful dots on the screen lol. Any solution? I formatted the original OS (win 7 basic) to win 7 pro the day i received this laptop...
