I wonder what are the side effects taking supplement in long term, experienced by forumners here? I really wonder forumners who takes pills like food daily still doing well to date? After all it's just a synthetic chemicals. Well, I just diversify the risk by do not stick to a single supplement for long period and not taking many supplement. I have tried some branded and suppose to be great supplement from reputable brands but still experiencing some side effects e.g.: migraine, insomnia and heatiness, example would be men's vitamins. Once consumed, I will feel my body is quite warm and on positive side, the BCAA in the supplement does give more stamina and energy if going to gym on that day, personally I feel easy to get agitated. And nowadays these medicine comes in 60s and 90s. I try to finish off these pills by reducing the side effects by taking 1 pill every 3 days, that is to finish 2-3 bottles will take about 1 year plus!

I take fish oil & magnesium almost everyday. And several others only for one or two months only.
Specifically speaking, cod liver oil for vitamin A&D.
Omega3 or Krill oil for brain.
Magnesium for muscle and sleep.

Most of the vitamins we consume from pills end up passed out in urine due to unable to be absorb.

If it is isotonic form of supplements your body is readily absorb it up to 95% (5% loss during transmission process). I always recover from sick using supplements instead of medication, except when supplements finished.

So it is not only mentally but physically too. In fact a lot people dont know how to choose the right supplements as they did not investigate on the ingredients and also the delivery system of the supplements. Some they purely believing in ads.

Depending on the situation and condition. Im a shop consultant majoring in health and nutrition, so I do have the knowledge on analysing someone's health condition and recommend supplements for them based on their condition.

For example, if someone having diarrhoea and stomachache will usually consume medication like
1. Carbon/Charcoal pill
2. Diphenoxylate hydrochloride

For me, I will substitute it with
1. Aloe Juice
2. Fiber with L-Glutamine and Probiotics

Just remember not all supplements made the same. So be a smart consumer, buy what gives you the most value out of it. Read labels on the supplements before buying it.

If anything you would like to figure out on how to improve your health condition with supplements, im more than happy to suggest to you.

Cheers and stay safe!

Good morning..

Can i know its ingredients and form (tablets?) of your Multivitamin? If the ingredients have enough of calcium and B complex and some other minerals supporting it should be able to help your sleep quality, otherwise it could be your body cant absorb that Multivitamin you taking.

Fish oil and BCAA do not have much direct relationship with your sleep quality. For fish oil, try put 1 softgel of it in freezer to check see whether it will turn icy or not. If turn icy meaning its not pure fish oil, may have added something else in it. Fish oil certainly will not turn icy otherwise fish cant live in deep sea already. Just kepochi, if you dont mind to let me know the amount of these in your fish oil.

1. EPA
2. DHA
3. Fish Oil

Cheers and stay safe!
