For those who are taking supplements products, how do u decide to start consuming the product?? Is the product actually worth ur money u put in to it?

For those who are not, how do u decide to not take any? Is there anything of ur health u are certain to?

Everyone is welcome to share the idea to me.

I take supplements products since i was at the age of 2weeks due to asthma, then i stop taking it after spm yet, i can feel my body easily tired and my skin condition are not as good as it should be.

So now i purchase multi vitamin, gingko biloba and EPO. I also consume collagen product. Yeah at least i'm in good health and very seldom ill. My energy level also in good condition.

hi, before you purchase any food supplement, you need to know whether the product is safe to consume.
What I mean here is some of the food supplement have receive warning letter from FDA.
To be a smart consumer, do make sure the product you purchase are safe, effective and at the same time is economical. PM me if you need want to discuss further.

For me, I take..

1. A specially formulated milk
2. Vavalert (Theo-bromine & Green Tea extract)
3. Spirulina
4. Ginkgo
5. sometimes flax seed oil
6. Seabuckthorne extract

Notice they're almost entirely natural. I no longer take synthetic vitamins, there're lots of grey area regarding their effectiveness and toxicity.

I don't take supplements often. I just take it when i feel i need them.

Well, Supplements is used to be a "booster" of our nutrition indeed.

Hmm, it's GTF, one of the effect is to stabilise sugar level in diabetic people. Not that I have diabetes, but it has very good general health benefits too. Their website is www.gtf.com.my

Supplements are not boosters. They're for supplementing our diet and ensuring that we are not lacking in any nutrients, that might have been left out due to poor diet, or farming methods, or cooking style.

I don't take supplements. I'd like to say that I hate to ingest all this chemicals into my body (even if the supplements are 'organic' -- they ARE PROCESSED), and I do hate taking unnecessary medicines/supplements. But, truth of the matter is, I don't think I'll commit to eating pill(s) everyday...

We are supposed to get all our nutrients from our food. Unfortunately the food we eat is very much lacking in nutrients due to overuse of the land, storage, transportation and even cooking.

That is why we need to supplement our diet. No single food can provide us the full range of nutrients required for optimal health. If it were so then the farmers can just grow that one crop and be very rich.

Choose a supplement which provide the full range of nutrients in the right proportions and right amounts. Get recommendations based on scientific research from third party.

Just wondering...How do you know that it is a natural one instead of a synthetic one ?

i have heard a lots of ppl saying taking synthetic health supplements can do harm to our health instead of enriching our body, is it true?

Natural are clearly stated is made from whole foods/organic/ or obviously is made from fruit/vege extract.

Synthetics are for example multivitamins, that are comprised by mostly chemicals.

For a greater understanding, you can buy the book titled "Supplements Exposed" from Popular.

Or you can search online for Naturally Occurring Standards.
