thanks for the reply.
so the SG reit dividends income we do not need to declare in M form (personal tax)?

but the whole is encouraging us to invest in SG reit and not MY reit? since we will safe 10% tax
why MY govt. allows that?

i found the answers on the earlier posts.....

QUOTE
1. Dividend and capital gains are not taxable in Singapore.
2. Income received from out of Malaysia, if you are a Malaysian Resident are not taxable (income tax) as well, but you need to declare it

i would like to know which trading account Malaysians use to buy SG REIT?
I have an account with HwangDBS, i have asked them before, and they told me that i can buy stocks in Singapore.

I'm wondering how the
1) currency conversion calculation
2) in what form the dividend is paid? e-dividend direct to our malaysian bank? or foreign check (which i think not so good)

thanks in advance for sharing.

I think it's just an "after ex" effect now, also some people maybe sell out to buy PetChem, which they later may realize it's actually overprice unlike MHB. Also all those M&A hotties...ijmland, sunway, qsr...
When next divvi ex comes with added rental income received from its newly injected properties, Arreit should be at...1.00? tongue.gif

You need to declare your reits income in order for the government to tax you for your witholding tax. Correct me if wrong.

I thought REIT dividend is already taxed before it reaches the shareholder and no need to declare anything?

Anyway one I thing I'm uncomfortable about Arreit is that Selangor state agency PKNS is its second largest shareholder and PKNS has been injecting some of its assets into the reit.

You mean they cannot get good bargain out of it? But no choice lol it give higher dividend yield compare with most reits in BURSA. Besides, major tenants comprise of amanah raya. Which gives you the assurance for long term rental. Besides, most of arreit tenants are having long term rental contracts with arreit.

Yup. Taxed at company level (as long as company distribute 90% or more of their profits). No need to declare anything but you need to keep the dividend slip just in case LHDN audits your tax filing.

In REITs, the correct term is "Distribution Per Unit" and not "Dividend" wink.gif

Dunno. Better ask Cherroy. As far as I know, REIT price not necessarily will correspond to NAV. REIT price, like stock price, depends on what investor thinks they are worth.......

Errrm.... didn't follow ARREIT but REITs usually distribute 90% or more of their profits, hence only 10% withholding tax......
