What kind of error it shows?
Have you tried the screen reset on ps3?

Forgot the step already but I think is hold the power button when u turn on ps3 for like 5-10seconds.

tried to reset already, error is no cable connected..

Still have manual ? Try check does it has HDCP . Something like DVI(HDCP).

yeh it has DVI. I connected the dvi with hdmi connector no issues on the pc lah, but ps3 kenot. last resort is changing the hdmi cable.

Hi, there. I also using this monitor and I connected to my PS3 without any problem.
I'm using Hdmi-dvi cable.

You should try reset the ps3 setting as I mentioned above by holding power button.

Weird, it should power up without any problem since ur pc can on too. Have u tried on tv?

thats why. i suspect its the cable, but same cable using on pc..no issue. and ps3 is old ps3, the hdmi port no issues. lets use another hdmi cable, i think i have the Giraffe brand lying somewhere..

thanks i will give it a try, is it maybe the HDMI-DVI cable doesnt support support HDCP becasue my 360 and PC works with the cable.

Hi.Anychance anyone could recommend me a decent tv/monitor at a price range of around rm400-500ish to go with my ps3? Using a crt right now and its a b**** tryna read text. Sorry for asking,but ive nill experience with displays and would like to know if anyone has a decent set up with that budget.

Size wise..mmm,with that budget I doubt theres much choice,just one thats the most bang for my buck.

First your monitor must have HDMI input or you will need a converter (which makes it more troublesome). If no HDMI input best get a new monitor. If got HDMI input,usually would have an audio output to connect to external speakers (as HDMI also transfers audio).

you can connect by using HDMI,if your monitor has no HDMI then get a DVI to HDMI converter.

and get a Y-Splitter if you are using external speaker.

I am currently playing my PS3 on my benq monitor. which monitor i cannot remember..22 or 24 inch..hdmi port...

Am planning to upgrade my monitor but using a tv instead. i'll be puttin it on my desk. Would a 30-40inch tv screw up my eyes in the long run if viewed close as if its a monitor?

It won't screw up your eyes in the way you're thinking.

But having a 40inch TV 2-3 feet infront of you at 1080p is like looking at dog crap. The DPI on a 40inch way too big to be had infront of you.
