To get the best possible image quality. Movies look better, games look better, it's a free benefit so why not go get it?

Too vague of a question. You're like asking Merz, BMW or Audi better.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Sep 13 2013, 09:07 PM)
My settings for a bedroom:

Game Mode
Backlight: 6 or 7 (6 if I turn off all the lights)
Contrast: 93
Brightness: 49
Color temp: Warm 1
Sharpness: 50
Gamma: -1

White Balance
All default except blue gain at -2, this is to account for setting Clear White at Low

Post process settings
All disabled except - Clear White (Low) and Smooth Gradation (Medium)

Using these settings, I've managed to get delta errors to less than 3 which is the optimal limit for a mid-range LCD LED TV.
Measured gamma point is at 2.38 which is just 0.2 point away from the standard set by ITU and THX as a reference level.

Input lag with these settings is at 19ms (+4ms from an everything disabled 14.5ms W6). Rule of thumb, anything under 30ms is optimal for games, under 20ms is exceptional in today's standards. Many SF4, Blazblue, GG, MvC3 pros play on 40ms HDTVs.

*Note*
You can choose to enable Reality Creation (limit it to no more than 35 though) if you want on games which aren't natively at 720p (which sadly, is a lot of PS3 games). This sharpens images across live polys and textures as well, but it does make aliasing pop more.
Reality Creation adds about 15ms of input lag as well. I really only enable it in games where there's an excessive use of AA (again, not many PS3 games sadly).

Hope that helps. smile.gif

Thanks alot bro! Will try this setting out wink.gif

I just bought Sony W674 42" for my room last week. Loving it so far; though I don't know what's the best setting for games. laugh.gif

So I'm using 50" 3D Plasma TV (50PW450) and the resolution is only 1,024 x 768 pixels. and when playing PS3 games I thought there is a big difference when compared to using my PC LCD screen or even my 32" HD Ready LCD TV.

Since I bought a PS4, do you guys think I should get a Full HD LED TV to unlock its full potential? Looking good value deals for 46~51" tv, any suggestions?

How much did u get it for? RM2,999?
How advance is the internet feature?

Seng Heng is running a launching deal promotion and selling the same model for RM2,229:

Also interested at Samsung Smart TV @ RM2,329:
http://www.senheng.com.my/online-launching...-ua46f6300.html

Anybody know if the upgrade from HD Ready TV with resolution of 1024 x 768 to Full HD (1920x1080) will be worth it?
Should I go for it? Which one is the better deal>

Thanks!

I got.mine 2699 but now they lower the price further, quality not bad, but if u want something really good, try panasonic n sharp, costly tho

Don't really use the smart feature since my desktop is connected to it via hdmi

What do you mean by sync? Bravia Sync? If Bravia Sync, you'll have to enable the feature on your PS3 first before you can sync it to the TV.
As for laptop... uhm.. plug and play?

PS3 Bravia Sync

As for the laptop, if you aren't getting display then that means either:

1) You didn't set the output display to your TV
2) HDMI cable issue

Any error msg on TV screen when you connect the HDMI cable?
Something like "Unsupported format".
Maybe you can try change your pc reso, change cable or try other hdmi port.
