sorry, still no support since SDK V1 -> V4

Hdpro supports .SUB/.IDX files for subtitles, some subtitle files that are bundled with Divx or Xvid vidoes may be incompatible. Specifically, AVI files that are bundled with .SUB and .IDX files for the subtitles. A recommended solution to use them with Hdpro is to convert the .SUB to an .SRT file.

not sure how to do

i google it

procedure:

* The .AVI and .SUB set MUST have an IDX file and all filenames must be the same and in the same folder for the conversion to work.
* Download and install VobSub: HERE
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/VobSub.htm
* Install and then open the program group from Start -> Programs
* Using the Subresync module, Open the SUB file from the folder that contains both it and its IDX counterpart.
* Next select "Save As" and drop down "Save as type" and choose SRT (SubRipper). Click "Save".
* Now you will have to "teach" VobSub's OCR the letters, so as the program pauses to present you with the letter(s) it can't yet recognize, type in the matching letter(s) in the "Enter matching letter(s)" dialog box. Combinations like "ist" "fty" etc. can be entered and sometimes to do that, you'll need to use the "Extend" option. As VobSub "learns", you will no longer have to enter letters it has already recognized.
* That's it... when it's done you should have an .SRT file that Xtreamer will enjoy! Usually takes a bit more than 5 minutes to do a 90 minute movie.
* If you like, clean up any spelling or other errors with a spell checker as VobSub isn't too forgiving, nor does it have an Undo or "Back" option. Make sure, if you do use a word processor, to save the file back in ASCII TXT format.

NOTES:

1. VobSub does not save the OCR file, so each time you load a .SUB file, you will have to reteach it the letters.
2. Obviously, the .AVI and .SRT files must have the same filenames and be together in the same folder for Xtreamer to recognize them as a set. Ensure that the .SUB file is NOT in this same folder (along with .AVI and .SRT files)

Hi Yangxi,
Does that mean the first batch HDPro already end-of-life (EOL)? No more firmware fixes, upgrade etc? sad.gif

Hi there, i am currently searching for a media player for my home.
My budget would be around rm200 like tat and thes files i play usually are RMVB and AVI 720p - 1080p.

From LYN, i can see there are many brands available , so would like the seniors here to guide me on getting a new media player ? =)

Cheers

for playing real video files, there is only one choice, get a player with realtek chipset, cheaper one is with 1055 chipset, more expensive one with networking either get 1073 or 1283
