is 29 dec 2010 ver having problem decoding some rmvb files?

i tried to play 2 rmvb file and the unit will rebooted itself after sometimes. I have no problem when played those file from my PC.

can u try reflash firmware again , and restore default.

pendrive (format in pc , FAT32).


never happen this problem. weird.

oh no...... my HDPro starting skipping and jumping the video.
somtimes it occur IO error, anyone face it?

Can you try play video using other sources like pendrive using usb and see if it still produce same symptom.
Does it happen to a spesific video format?

I am the guy called you last nite from Kuching, my rmvb is similar to others.
My fren HDPRO+ got IO error and cannot played rmvb file (mp4/mkv no problem, with same hdd)
My HDPRO+ Mini can played most of the rmvb files but go following problem with recent rmvb files. The error is that it can play for a while then suddenly screen go blank and i thought i played nitendo without display as i heard supermario theme song. Then it will either (i) restart (ii) continue to play with no display but got sound.
The same rmvb file is playing ok if using preview at browser stage (well, size too small)
I also got Diyomate K3+ from Yangxi and the same rmvb file played with no problem. So suspect may be the firmware issue.

Bro, upgrade to the latest firmware thought it will solve the rmvb problem. However, on the same rmvb file, the screen blank out with background music at the same position (e.g 21:12), then the audio is back but screen still off, then it reboot. So sad......
However, i found a temporary cure. After reboot and you want to continue to watch the same rmvb file, either fast forward (using 2 min forward) or goto the desire time to pass that position, in this case 21:12. I managed to finish the whole episode. What an idiot way

tat's what i did... focus on the time it will turn black... skip a few minutes.. then can watch liao

and this is not a cure.. just a temporarily solution~

need you to confirm, i found out that it will always turn black when it enter commercial time. Which mean, the guy recorded one whole file and "cut" the commercial time or he stopped at each commercial break and join all the files. The joining position is where my HDPRO turn black. Tested on 3 files with same outcome.
Have no problem on rmvb with no commercial break

yea.. i tested 2 GUESS rmvb will get this problem during the time it reach commercial break, but for TVB file i dont get this type of problem.

Seems the Zhongyi (hliang) rmvb convert problem..
