hello..im new here..just got my iphone 3gs today=]

Ic ok.. Bcs so far i see the past 3 years every year have a new iphone model right? So was just asking what are the chances of a new model coming out this year?

yup.. bcos many news came out like iphone 4g pic model, spec and etc but just not sure is true or not..

the rumors..is telling that the phone interface is much better...5mp camera...better proccessor..HD..wifi N....the most important is the price might be cheaper too...

better hardware, new technologies with cheaper price? that doesnt sound right to me...

Rumors will always be rumors until it's been proven otherwise. So all we need to do is just wait and see. No point in speculating things that we do not know.

yeah, just wait and start selling your phone before new one comes and old phone prices drop

anyway, seems like apple really protect the confidentiality of the phone this time. by looking at how the 1st iphone revolutionize the way we use the phone (capacitive touch screen, multi touch, accelerometer etc) and then all the other phone companies started to follow, i think a lot of new technologies will be introduced, something that will revolutionize the phone again.

in my opinion, it could be cheaper, there are a few factors.

a) Apple might use their own customized processor like the one using in the iPAD.
b) Bigger manufacturing volume due to their growing market share in smartphone market, this will normally bring down the cost of manufacturing.
c) if iphone using 5MP camera, which is now the mainstream, then the camera cost might be the same or lower than the 3MP cmera currently using in iphone 3GS.
d) lower price of NAND flash ***(this one will depends on the flash memory market, generally the price will go from down time by time, but sometimes hard to predict).

as long as there is some good upgrade.... im sold....

Guys ,look,i've been facing new problem,last time i bought iPhone from Malaysia,then now the phone is problematic where it cant detect any simcard inserted,but there's nearby Apple store in the city,is that possible to send iphone to the apple store in swiss ?what if this is singapore set ?

If Maxis set - warranty by Maxis.
If non-Maxis set - either find back the seller or EYS.

Guys ,wanna ask you people something,i bought iphone in msia,but then the phone is now problematic and cant detect any simcard inserted,now the phone is in switzerland,is that possible to send and claim for warranty in swiss's apple store ?there's an apple store in the city.thanks alot.Im just afraid if that phone has been warrantied by singapore and to be claimed in swiss.

as for me, i just hold it for now... my 3.1.2fw still serve me well.... if u dont have any problem with your current FW, it is advisable to stay away for a while...

nice idea..but i just updated her 2 minutes ago..seems run well but all app need to reinstall again..

I've just upgrade the FW to 3.1.3 by mistake...now it can only make emergency calls...what to do now? Really noob in iphone lol...

your iphone is a locked set? if so... i gues u can say bye-bye for to your iphone for now...

I don't really know if it's locked or not but when connect to iTunes, it cannot identify my simcard...guess it's locked...so sad liao~~

google how to download baseband... im not sure if it could work.... pray hard that u have 5.08 bootloader....
