i enable or disable also cannot lock XD!
keng la this nokia.. pfft gps takes so long to lock..

No leh... after upgrade firmware my GPS lock on very fast... even without AGPS also very fast.
yesterday morning i was in Penang i lock on then after that switch off for several hours after i reach johor i turn on again can lock on within minute.

i jz followed ur steps,backup->use OVI but end with usb connection problem.
thought is cable problem..den tried transfer data from pc to fon..no pro..
wondering what is the problem.

same i agree.. no matter what i do also sure data prob wan during update firmware.,... maybe its really wait till 2nd may 1st la.. sien our tmnut

sensitivity of optic navi key when set to high(normally able to move through 15-20 items eg. msges contacts) but after REBOOT, it no longer gives the sense of HIGH sensitivity... more like it's been set to medium. each time i check it still shows HIGH
so each time i reboot my device, i have to reset it - set it to medium and back to high again.
really annoying la...

I had this problem even set the sensitivity to high before update the latest firmware but once updated no issue anymore....you might want to try to update the firmware and see whether it works...at least it works for me....

i'm on da latest one already.. da glitch happens only after reboot... then i have to reset it..

I after reboot and still sensitive as after I update the firmware but mine only not working when I switch it to camera and it's fine for me....

yeeeha... new firmware... and garmin seem like no problem... but only for short distance tested.

i'm not using tmnet.
i'm using izzi.
same problem oso.
i suspect problem is from nokia themselves

Yes, I'm having that problem too. I'm using Celcom Broadband. Most likely the prob is with Nokia.

I am considering buying E72 for myself but i heard that it hav problem with garmin... But in the front page of the thread got state that by changing the garmin setting like ''Orientation to Track up. Display - Backlight Override - Always On'' then it will be okay???

So if i do that garmin will work perfectly???

Because gps will be very important to me as i will be going to KL to further my studies soon... Sad

Or will nokia release new firmware to solve this issue??

Btw ovi map isit free when using??? Like will it charge money when it uses internet to locate our position or wat??

that problem is already solved with the latest firmware from nokia.
Ovi maps is free. only telco will charge when data is transfered

Guys, any way to test the connection speed? I tried speedtest.net but I can't run the test.

tools--> settings --> phone --> network --> network mode... change to GSM (normal) or UTMS (3G)

What is this? GSM and UTMS? Our default is what? If UTMS always charges 3g?

UTMS or 3G uses more power but will deliver data to you faster. If you are not using data delivery, may as will switch it off to give better battery life. Simply to make phone calls, no different between 2G and 3G
