lots of hype here before the official launch on the 32bit ECU. I remember i said that it could be good or bad because there may be reliability issue due to new ECU not properly tested and all.

seems like the negative side of what i said has become true...
although our old persona using 16bit ECU, but at least it's been proven ok for us smile.gif

it's not the genuine one correct ? if genuine pivot should be around 200-300++

i have asked the shop about the raisin pivot... they say they can get stock which is manufactured by hong kong and japan.. japan 1 is much more expensive ... while the hong kong is cheaper.. they also say the usage is still the same and things are also same.. the price difference can be 2X time .

the engine power wise is generally okla good for cruising and top speed etc. BUT when it comes to cornering out of roundabout back intro straights, zig zag overtaking & picking up from stand still... its weight and lack of low end torque is really2 felt. its the time when u feel, "come on!!! go go go!!!". This engine's torque & power comes mostly in high rpm... a rev happy engine. so mb... shall we go bolt on turbo (BOT) to improve low end torque? hahaha...

forte..... humm...i like. hehehe... value for money. but 2nd hand value?? hummm..... eg. my friend's Kia Spectra same age as my ex myvi. When sold, my ex myvi loss about 10k its value whereas my friend's spectra lost about 45k. that is a big WOW. hahah..

At least proton stops the production and not let its cars out onto the road. solving it at the production line clearly shows their responsibility, QC level and etc. its better to detect, stop it and rectify it at the production line rather than letting it out on the market, and later having thousands of them having problems and recalling them. that would cost too much.

i think it should be alright. at least its not a major RECALL! hahahaha... that would be the REAL big blow!

almost every car have their own problems. about a year ago i had the opportunity to be at the service mechanic area office behind Toyota service centre building. on the white board, i see a long list of various toyota models of owners having so and so problems.

i have a few friends who bought cars like Benz and BMW having various problems and need to spend time in the SC many times.... but of course the chances of these are far less compared to cheaper local cars due to more strict QC.

Try to check the aircond filter that can be found at the front passenger side. More specifically, the bottom of the glovebox. See whether lots of dust already trapping the filter thus made the wind blow slower.

Hahaha.. well, that might be the general idea to improve the low end torque. I'm waiting for the light pressure turbo made by proton to be roll out. Or just buy a cps halfcut and plonk the cps engine whistling.gif

Screw resale value lol. With the same price, its features can't even compare to vios, city, and the new mazda 2 tongue.gif

just changed my brake pad and coolant last weekend, using GEP brake pad and new GEP coolant red (instead of green) tongue.gif

and one thing i have noticed, after changing new coolant, after drive it once, my air con fan automatically turned on after i shut down my engine, and it lasted about 2-3min to shut down by itself, any reason for that?

previously my stock temp gauge usually slight reach 2 bars, now my temp gauge is on 1.5bar, my engine feels cooler now rclxms.gif

after install the new brakes, at first a bit spongy than before, after drove it for like 4-5km, then the brake starting to get better, but still feels not much difference compare before, probably because i fixed my rear brake drum before which results the brakes performs at lot better? oh well, will review the new brake once its bed in, is it necessary to drive 2k only the new brake starts to bed in?

lol, we are using the same coolant, toyota stuff are mostly OEM by GEP which is under UMW.
